Celebrating Federation Day. One hundred thirty-six years ago, on April 24th, 1890, 63 women from 17 states across the country formally adopted the constitution of the newly formed General Federation of Women’s Clubs. Their commitment to each other paved the way for the immeasurable impact clubwomen have had on the world.
Today, April 24, take a moment to remember the legacy of those who founded our organization.

Congratulations!

Sharing this song as we celebrate Earth Day. ❤️🌎 Earth Day is a day that is intended to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's natural environment. Earth day was a day founded by United States Senator Ga***rd Nelson as an environmental teach-in first held on April 22, 1970.

Who knew?

Did you know, before it became a ballpark tradition, “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” was inspired by a suffragist? In 1908, songwriter Jack Norworth wrote the lyrics as an ode to Trixie Friganza, a celebrated performer and suffrage advocate.

The song’s heroine, Katie Casey, knew the players by name and wasn’t afraid to speak her mind, a bold image at a time when women were still fighting for the right to vote.

This baseball season, we’re celebrating the women whose stories belong in our national memory.

Here are 5 ways you can help prevent child abuse:

1. Educate yourself on the warning signs.
Understanding the signs of child abuse helps adults recognize concerns early so they can take action before harm continues.

2. Learn about the red flags of grooming and watch out for manipulative or concerning behaviors in adults.

3. Assure kids in your care that they can talk to you about anything that bothers or confuses them.

4. Empower children in your life to say “no” when someone crosses their boundaries.

5. Teach children how to recognize unsafe behaviors in other adults, and to come to you or another trusted adult if those behaviors occur.

This isn’t behavior.
This is trauma.

Children deserve safety—not forced exposure to harm. 💜

💙 Every voice matters.

At least 1 in 7 children experience abuse or neglect each year in the U.S.

Many cases go unreported, meaning the real number is even higher.

Speaking up isn’t just important, it’s a lifeline.

Teach children about healthy boundaries.

Teach children about healthy boundaries.

Teaching kids about healthy boundaries empowers them to feel in control of their bodies and to respond confidently if someone crosses a line.
