Tonight’s lesson was all about the meaning behind Passover and communion. We read several scriptures and learned the significance and importance of both. Then we ended the night with some fun.

Join me as we pray for our youth to return to school tomorrow! I want the Lord to guide every step they take and show them favor as they get this school year started. With times such as they are today, I also pray that they will show Jesus through their words and their actions each day so that the Lord may be glorified. I want each of them to have a BOLDNESS that only God can give them. I pray these things for the school employees as well!

Rooted youth took over the Cookeville Bowling World today! We enjoyed spending this time with our youth and getting ready for school to start back. I pray each and every single one of them have a year in their favor and they shine the light of Jesus on those around them.

P.S. Bill at bowling world in Cookeville was a phenomenal host and a blessing all the way around!

Wednesday night we discussed Who Jesus really is, the aspects about Jesus that prove He is God, and why we should be rooted in Him.

Pastor Kevin joined us and did what he does best. He had the kids illustrate how Jesus is our attorney Who intercedes for us, and makes us right before God because of His blood payment.🔥

We have officially named our church’s youth! This past Wednesday, and for the rest of this month, we will be studying what it means to be ROOTED IN CHRIST.

We are helping raise the next generation! One that does not “blow like chaff in the wind”, as Psalm 1 says, or get “tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine” as Ephesians 4:14 says.

Colossians 2:6-7 says, “As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, ROOTED and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.”

For the next few weeks we have a cross stood up in the foyer for people to write down and tape prayer requests to. Each Sunday for the next few weeks at the end of Sunday school class our youth along with whoever else would like to join is going to be praying over each request! It’s so important we teach our children how to pray so they know how to keep that open communication with the Lord! He welcomes and looks forward to hearing our prayers and thank you Lord that we get to pray for others! I hope you all have a wonderful and blessed rest of your Sunday! God is good✝️
