This year, we're bringing back a classic tradition with the Pie Contest.

Celebrate with us! Over 100 children have committed to swim lessons at our new Gordonsville Pool!

When Town to Trail was just an idea, our friends and neighbors recognized the importance of creating access to a public swimming pool that could offer swimming lessons and teach lifesaving skills to local children.

That vision is now becoming reality.

According to the CDC, drowning is the leading cause of death for children ages 1–4 and the second leading cause of unintentional injury death for children ages 5–14. Formal swim lessons can significantly reduce the risk of drowning and help children develop confidence around water.

That's a BIG DEAL! 100 children learning to swim means more than 100 children gaining skills that can last a lifetime.

This is why community spaces matter. This is why we invested in the pool. And this is why we continue working to create places that strengthen the health, safety, and quality of life of everyone in Gordonsville.

Big Thank You to ODEC!

Town to Trail is honored to share that we have received a $15,000 contribution from Old Dominion Electric Cooperative (ODEC) in support of the Gordonsville Park revitalization project.

ODEC has been a longtime supporter of this vision from the very beginning, and we are deeply grateful for their continued investment in our community. Their generous support will help advance the walking paths surrounding the event area, bringing us one step closer to creating a connected, welcoming space where neighbors can gather, walk, play, and enjoy the park together.

As construction continues, we’re excited to see the park take shape piece by piece. While this contribution helps move an important section forward, we still have additional pathways to fund that will connect the rest of the park into one unified experience.

Thank you, ODEC, for believing in Gordonsville and in the power of community spaces. We're truly better when we're together!

If you said yes, then come see us on Sunday, April 26, from 12 - 4 on Main Street during the "Art Walk in Gordonsville." Our volunteers and board members will be there and are glad to answer all your questions.

There are a lot of exciting developments, and you can be the first to know!

Another exciting step forward at the park! Thanks to the generous support of Grelen Nursery (The Market at Grelen) new River Birch trees are being planted along the creek. These native trees will provide shade and habitats, as well as make the park beautiful! Even better…? There are many more to come!

Your support is making a difference!

There is more than new equipment happening at the park… For years water and drainage have been a frustrating and frequent challenge. Today, the design teams are hard at work installing new drainage and re-grading the land.

The transformation is exciting!

Wow! It is quick work to remove an old covered shelter! And it was YOUR support in 2025 that is funding the new event pavillion as part of our event area campaign!

Be sure to swing by the park to track the exciting progress as the park revitalization continues - a new event pavilion, event lawn, landscaping, walking trails, playground equipment, and so much more, all made possible by generous community support!
