To Those Who Attended GGND 2026:

Thank you for yet another tremendous year, and for carrying the GGND tradition through Year 66. With July 4th being a Saturday this year, and being the 250th anniversary of the USA, we know you had many towns and cities you could have chosen to be in. But you chose Gordon.

We to thank our sponsors, donors, event partners, and celebration patrons….. are the ones that make this happen. Whether you bought a duck, ran in the 5K, played bingo, ate at the pancake breakfast, bought a beverage, etc…. Everything goes to carrying the tradition on.

The F-16 flyover was fantastic! We had beat a number of runners in our 5K, and set records in most of our events. The crowds were tremendous, the weather held out nicely. In sum, it was just a tremendous time.

When you see a GGND volunteer, be sure to thank them. We spent 6+ months planning this event, with many volunteers in town 20 hours on Saturday alone. On top of spending the vast majority of their Friday and Sunday at events, and the entire week leading up to the event preparing.

We start immediately in planning GGND 2027. But we always want to take this moment, and recognize everyone for being there, and for carrying the torch forward.
