Wishing all of our competitors the very best of luck at Quiz Rally this weekend! We can’t wait to see all the creativity, teamwork, horsemanship knowledge, and zoo-themed spirit on display as members put their Pony Club skills to the test. 🦒🦁🐒🐴

Last night, Desert Hooves hosted an ice cream social to welcome Los Alamos Pony Club from New Mexico and Four Corners Pony Club from Colorado, whose members traveled in to compete and qualify for Championships. We are so glad to have you here and hope you feel right at home! 🍦

A very special thank you as well to Nancy MacIsaac for traveling all the way from New Mexico to serve as our Technical Delegate. We are always grateful for her wisdom, dedication, and continued support of our region and Pony Club program.

Good luck to all of our teams this weekend! Study hard, cheer loud, have fun, and show us your wildest zoo spirit as you tackle everything from horse management to anatomy, feeds, equipment, and more. Here’s to a roaring good Rally weekend! 🐾📚

The sweetest soundtrack of spring… 💛

There’s nothing quite like the soft, rhythmic nicker of a first-time mama learning her new role—Poppy gently “purring” to her c**t, a sound somewhere between an engine turning over and pure contentment. It’s the kind of moment that makes you stop, listen, and smile.

Foaling season is officially here, and scenes like this are happening at barns all over our region. We’re especially excited to celebrate this beautiful new duo at Sovereign Farm, home to our Desert Hooves Pony Club chapters and a place that gives so much to our local horse community.

Welcome to the world, little one—and well done, Poppy. 🐴✨

✨ A true “only in The United States Pony Clubs” kind of story ✨

Within just 8 hours, a new pony found her way to Roswell Tumbleweed Pony Club through a series of incredible connections, perfect timing, and what can only be described as the magic of this community.

This sweet pony "Sassy" was located in East Texas and recently outgrown by her rider. She was listed for sale by a trainer who just so happens to have deep Pony Club roots in Texas—and a long-standing connection to Kate Wilson with Flying W Equestrian out of Carlsbad New Mexico who trains riders with Roswell PC.

By pure chance, Kate remembered a post about the pony from the week prior… and even more perfectly, she was already headed to Spring Branch this weekend to visit family. Trailer hitched, plans shifted, and now she’ll be delivering this pony to her new Pony Club home on Monday. 🚚🐴

Because of those shared Pony Club connections—she was offered at a truly incredible price.

This wasn’t even on anyone’s radar yesterday… and within 30 minutes this morning, the deal was done.

💛 It’s a beautiful reminder that Pony Club is more than lessons and rallies—it’s a deeply woven network of horsemen and horsewomen who show up for each other, and for the horses.
And at the center of it all is a shared belief: there is no better landing place for a horse than a Pony Club home, where they are valued, developed, and truly part of the partnership.

Congratulations Roswell Tumbleweed Pony Club on this exciting new addition! 🎉🐴

Learning by doing—and having a lot of fun along the way 🐎

From first-time participants to more experienced riders, activities like Mounted Games create opportunities for everyone to build confidence, teamwork, and partnership with their horse.

This is what makes Pony Club such a special place to grow 🤍✨
