We are so proud of our recent graduates! Their sucesss is our success. We are grateful for the support of program partners Lane County Government and Ideal Option, Eugene.

We are so proud of the newest Deflection Program graduates! Celebrating your incredibly hard-won victories with you and your loved ones is a privilege. All of us at Lane County wish you well as you decide what’s next.

What’s Deflection? It’s an alternative to arrest for eligible low-level offenses where substance use is a factor—connecting people to support instead of jail time. If someone gets treatment and completes the Deflection Program, the charges related to those low-level offenses are not filed.

We work with local law enforcement agencies -- in fact several officers attended graduation to help celebrate the accomplishments of people they deflected -- and peer navigators with Ideal Option. We also rely on Reveille Foundation and more than 100 community partners to support Deflection participants and help them make meaningful change in their lives.
