🍧 ONE MORE WEEK!

Our Summertime Sno youth are almost at the finish line at Chicken N Pickle!

Today, I stopped by to check their cash-handling skills—separating the bills, making sure no money is sticking together, and counting everything accurately. 💵 These are the little lessons that turn into lifelong skills.

Our youth earn cash rewards based on their volunteer hours, with a maximum reward of $250!

Then on October 10, 2026, they GRADUATE! 🎓 We’ll celebrate by taking them to the Glendale outlets for a special school-shopping trip using the rewards they worked for and earned.

They’re learning entrepreneurship, responsibility, customer service, teamwork, and how to manage money—all while having fun and serving their community.

So proud of our young entrepreneurs! 🍧❤️

We are grateful to the UnitedHealthcare DSNP Team for financially supporting Gervonni Cares’ Digital Skills Ready@50+ Program for an entire year!

Through our work with AARP and Senior Planet, this support allows us to continue providing older adults with hands-on technology education, Google Chrome and digital skills training, entrepreneurship education, and tools to help them stay connected and confident in today’s digital world.

We also look forward to welcoming a UnitedHealthcare DSNP representative to join us at any of our classes or workshops throughout the Valley to connect with the older adults we serve and see the program in action.

Partnerships like these help us make sure our seniors are not left behind as technology continues to evolve.

We’re sending a heartfelt thank you to Jaliyah, our Summer Marketing Volunteer, as she heads back to college out of state! 💚

Throughout the summer, Jaliyah volunteered with Gervonni Cares on a daily basis, assisting with customer service, creating flyers, door knocking, cold calling, outreach, and so much more. Her willingness to jump in wherever needed truly made a difference.

We were happy to send her off with a small appreciation gift as a thank-you for all of her hard work and dedication.

Meet Phoenix, our new full-time Receptionist at Gervonni Cares!

Thank you to the National Indian Council on Aging (NICOA) and its Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) for making this opportunity possible.

SCSEP helps adults 55+ gain on-the-job training, build new skills, work experience and confidence while supporting their financial well-being.

This partnership fits perfectly with what we believe at Gervonni Cares. We encourage older adults to learn technology, develop new skills, and remain active in the workforce—and now we have an AWESOME senior joining our own team!

Phoenix is already doing an amazing job.

🎒 Every backpack has a journey - and this one started with you!

Through Harkins Theatres' Back-to-School Backpack Drive, our generous community donated 1,500 backpacks to help local students prepare for the new school year!

We distributed those backpacks traveled to the hands of students across the Valley, reaching families through:
