A dead cat was reported to patrol on Friday 15 Nov 2024 near the villas 16951 and 16954 West Vernon near the Oasis Pool. The cat was an adult female grey/brown short hair tabby with no collar and no microchip her ear was not tipped. The cat did not appear to be lactating so I assume there are no orphan kittens associated with her. Neighbors reported seeing her in the area for weeks. She appeared well fed. She did not appear to have any visible injuries and may have ingested poison from stations sometimes placed to control roof rats. If she was your pet I'm sorry for your loss. If you have been looking for a lost pet female tabby, I have photos of her body if you need to confirm. Please contact me: (623)203-4489. Patrol disposed of the body. May she rest in peace.

Update: adopted

Help me find the family who are missing this cat. He was found Tuesday, 30 Jan on the front foyer of a home on Holly Street Tuscany side of Pebble Creek. He is very docile, easy to pick up and cuddle. He is an adult unaltered male who is not microchipped and had a plastic collar on without a tag. If he is yours or if you know who he belongs to please call me so we can get him home. He is safe and sound on my Catio for now, but my own cats aren’t happy to have a strange cat occupying their territory. If no one claims him the Pet Companions will have a vet check him out/neuter him and he will be available for adoption. If you would like to foster him while we determine his status, I will provide all supplies to make him happy while he waits. He has not revealed his name so we are calling him Patrick.

Adopter/s Needed:
Last June a couple adopted three kittens from Kitten & Animal Rescue advocates (KARA) a local rescue that The Pet Companions of Pebble Creek often partners with to find homes for our rescued Pebble Creek cats. The husband adopter lost his job and they are losing their home end of November and need to find homes for them. As part of the adoption agreement the cats will be returned to KARA if no approved rehoming person can be found. So the adopters have asked KARA to take them.

Lavender and Jake are bonded and have to go with each other. Lucky is also super bonded with his siblings but can go by himself. They are about a year and a half. They will do well with other cats and medium sized cat friendly dog. Kids are good too.

Jake is the solid grey tabby, Lavender is the charcoal grey with white, and Lucky is the grey/brown tabby with white.

Jake (Bubba) loves to play fetch with small, fuzzy balls and other toys. He will use a scratching post and sleeps in the cat tree. Jake loves his little sister, Lavender and his brother Lucky. Jake is good with tortoises and will adjust to a medium sized dog (cocker spaniel).

Lavender thrives in an environment with her brother, Jake. She did not do well separated from him. Lavender is a lap baby and loves to cuddle with her brother. She loves to play fetch and plays with toys. She will talk to you when you call her "Little Miss." Lavender has some scaring on her eye from an eye infection that wasn’t treated before she came to the rescue. It’s much improved now.

Lucky is very outgoing and greets everyone who comes to visit. He loves to play with toys and cuddle. He's great with his siblings, tortoises, and will adjust to medium sized dogs (cocker spaniel). Lucky will use a scratching post and sleep anywhere he's comfortable.

If you are interested in adopting the bonded pair Lavender & Jack and or/ Lucky. Please contact me: Sue Ann (623) 203-4489

Update: RL is now named Jack and is his forever home with his vet and her family. He has had a soft landing and is happy with his new humans and fur brothers.

Update: I have a temporary solution I think. The vet who met RL fell in love with him and is picking him up from me today/tomorrow to see if they can integrate him into their home with their other pets. If it works out she will do his neuter surgery.

Update: HELP: my kitten room is getting the carpet changed out for tile next week and I have no place to keep RL after his neuter surgery on 26 Oct. Can anyone foster this lover boy for about 10 days will we find him a home?

RL went to the Legacy Animal Hospital on on Tuesday 18 Oct. Pet Companions Club footed the bill for Feline Leukemia Blood test (negative), exam (he is healthy and probably between 1-2 years old, unaltered male), and vaccinations including rabies (he was very brave never stopped purring through the whole ordeal). Well not quite he is not a fan of the re**al thermometer. That was the only time he stopped purring and then only tried to squirm away.

We need to take in a f***l sample to test for worms which I will do today. He is on the docket to get neutered next Wed. Then will be ready for adoption around 2Nov. He is living in my kitten room that thankfully was vacant. He is a gentle, cuddly cat that will make a perfect cat for a family with children. For us in Pebble Creek he will be a tripping hazard, since he always wants to be next to you and will wind around your legs as you try to walk away.

Anyone recognize this orange tabby cat? He is extremely friendly and hungry. Found in Pebble Creek, Tuscany side.
If he has been frequenting your yard or you know the owner please let me know.
He has taken up temporary residency at my house while we plan his next move.
We’ve named him Really Lucky

Time and effort are required to properly socialize kittens. In fact, when they’re between four and twelve weeks old, daily socialization sessions are important in shaping the kitten’s personality and emotional growth.

Weaning Weaning may begin at 3 ½ to 4 weeks of age. Start by offering the kittens formula on a spoon. Once they are lapping off the spoon, try putting some formula in a saucer. As they master lapping up the formula out of the saucer, you can gradually add a small amount of canned food to the formul...

Update: Mobley's people had a change of heart and decided to keep him.

Update: Mobley once again needs a new home.
2 years ago Mobley was adopted. Unfortunately the people who have him are dealing with health issues that prevent them fom keeping him. I’m making a wellness vet appointment to have him checked out this week. Mobley is very friendly but bonds with the man of the household. We are looking for a male cat lover who would enjoy having a very large orange and white shadow. Mobley loves sitting on his Dad’s lap and does not hog the remote.

If you are interested in meeting Mobley call me at (623)203-4489 and I’ll arrange. Mobley lives on the Tuscanny Falls side of Pebble Creek. I will provide transport of Mobley and all his cat luggage and furniture to his new home.

Below is the history of Mobley’s journey:

Mobley is still with me. He is in an XL cat pen in my garage. A friend loaned me a space heater.

I need to find someone to foster him in your home. He has a vet appointment on Saturday morning to update his shots. He is super friendly, well behaved and will come with everything you need to host him including his special weight loss diet.

Please help me get him into at least a temporary home before Christmas.

My name is Mobley and I’m a good boy. I’ve had a rough couple of months. Let me tell you about it. My Dad fell and broke his hip and went to the hospital to get it fixed. He never came home. In October his daughter told me that my Dad passed away while at the hospital. I don’t know what passed away means, but I know my Dad would never leave me if he had a choice. He and I were inseparable. I used to follow him around, and sit on his lap. We had many good times. I had been with him since I was just a kitten and now I’m 4 years old. My Mom tried to take care of me but she misses my Dad as much as I do. She is now in this funny bed in the family room and people from Hospice are always at my house. I retreated to my Dad’s bedroom and stayed under his bed except to come out to eat and use my litter box. I am sad!

The other day I was picked up by some helpers from Pet Companions Club of Pebble Creek. Right now I’m in temporary quarters set up in a garage. It is a bit chilly at night but I have plenty of blankets, so I’m comfortable. Monday they took me to the vet for a check up. I’m fine except the vet said I was too chubby and need to be on a diet. I told the vet I was just big b***d, but he said no way should I be 18 lbs!

Here’s the deal. I need a person willing to take me into their home and be my diet, exercise buddy. I now realize my Dad is not coming back and I’ve been getting more and more comfortable with new people over the last few days. The lady with the garage, Sue Ann, comes and sits inside my pen and tells me cat stories while I eat the diet food from the vet. It’s surprisingly tasty. There isn’t much room for exercise in my pen, I have my favorite stuffed toys with me and a kitty litter box that is extraordinary. My kitty litter pan at my Dad’s house was one that I had as a kitten. Now I have a proper big boy litter box. It’s wonderful!

If you are interested in giving me a temporary home, or even adopting me, while I get to my training weight, I promise to be the best cat you have ever met. I need a place that will give me room to roam around and play inside the house. I’m an indoor only cat. I’ve never had a dog or another cat friend, so I don’t know how that would go. Even if you can only keep me temporarily, I’m game.

Please contact Sue Ann to arrange a meet and greet, so I can decide if you and I can be buddies.

Update: All were adopted!

Jackson Five are now Jackson Three

We are part of a litter of kittens, The Jackson Five. However, two of our brothers have been adopted. Now we are 3: Janet (F), Michael(M) and Tito(M). If you were to ask for a one word description of us it would be CHILL. Nothing fazes us. Here is a picture of two of us from the adoption event at Cotton Lane Petsmart Saturday. We were lounging in our kitty condo as pandemonium was all around us. Dogs walking by, kids squealing, people touching us through the wire…we were just happy to see all the activity and pose for adorable photos. We are being fostered here in Pebble Creek, out foster Mom would love to have you come and visit us. If you are looking for a kitten I’m sure one or two or even us three could provide years of companionship and entertainment for you. If you are interested in learning more about each of us our foster Mom Jean @ (623) 255-0285 would be happy to talk with you. We have all appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped and have been spayed/neutered. Now all we need is to select our forever families. With a slow introduction we could easily make friends with other fur faces you may already have in your home.

Update: Wally was adopted.

Attention Cat People I need temporary help.

Is there anyone in Pebble Creek that could give Wally a safe area to recover? He is going into Legacy Animal Hospital for Neuter surgery. While he is there he’ll be tested for FELV, vaccinated, and mircrochipped. Wally is a flame point medium haired Burmese mix with a fluffy tail. He will be a magnificent looking cat once he has his coat cleaned up at bit and his tail brushed.

Here is his story

Wally came to the Pet Companions Club via Legacy animal hospital after he was surrendered by Debbie, a lady who rescued him at the Walmart parking lot. She was behind a blue sedan when suddenly as it was still moving the passenger opened the door and threw out the Wally onto the pavement. The rescuer Debbie stopped her car and ran toward the cat, scooped him up put him in her car and drove to nearby legacy animal hospital. Luckily for Debbie, Wally is a calm cat and wasn’t fazed by the whole ordeal nor particularly concerned when she carried him into the vet office in her arms.

Wally has an appointment back at Legacy for neuter surgery and an wellness appointment. Right now Wally is living in a cat pen in my laundry room but he really needs more space to stretch his legs and after his surgery have a quiet room to recover.

Although he will be vaccinated he shouldn’t be around other pets until the vaccinations take effect (2 Weeks). Once he is healed from his surgery he will be offered for adoption. If you are thinking you may want to adopt Wally it would be good for both you and him if you fostered him first. The few days he has been with me he has been a perfect gentleman, using his litter box, sleeping a lot and eating and when awake letting me pet him. I’ve brushed him a bit around head and shoulders.

Please contact me via messenger if you can help.

PS. Jim Ellison named him Wally.

Update: We never located the kitten's mother or her litter mates. She was adopted.

Help me find my mom and litter mates! On Thursday afternoon 12 May I was rescued from a pump well under a hot tub on the Eagles Nest side of Pebble Creek in the vicinity of N 152nd Ave between W Verde Ln and W Merrell St by the home owner of the hot tub. He heard me crying and after several hours of search located me at the bottom of a underground recess. I was in a hole covered with a flat stone about 3 feet down. I am safe, well fed and healthy but I want to be with my Mom and siblings.

Can you help? If you live in the vicinity of N152nd Dr on East N 152nd Ave on West, W Merrell St on North and W Verde Ln on South PLEASE CHECK your yard and report any sightings of my family to Sue Ann Olsavicky Pebble Creek Companions Club @ (623)203-4489. Do not disturb my mama cat or the kittens…Sue Ann will come with Trap/Net/Reinforcements to get my family to safety.

I am not a feral kitten, I am very friendly. Although I can’t explain how I ended up in the at the bottom of damp pit here is a possible explanation:

Cats and kittens are frequently dumped by owners in affluent neighbors when they can no longer be cared for. Owners sometimes have good intentions and think their pets have a better chance at survival than turning them into an overcrowded shelter IF the shelter will even take them…because at the height of kitten birthing season shelters and rescues are at capacity. These cast offs often have no clue how to survive without their human family feeding them. Mother cats with kittens are desperate to find a safe location for their babies and sometimes leave them to search for food so they can continue producing milk. In the case of this kitten…we searched but their were no other kittens with her and her mother had not been spotted. We doubt that a single kitten was dumped. The rest of her family is out there and we need to find them. — with James E. Ellison.
