The Trinity River Authority’s Lake Livingston Project is closely monitoring the development of tropical storm Edouard.

Based on the latest information and the extremely dry conditions in the area, we do not currently anticipate significant impacts to the dam or water flows. Current forecasts indicate the area could receive approximately 3 to 8 inches of rain, although rainfall and storm conditions can change as the system develops.

Our team will provide updates if conditions or operations change.

JUST IN-1:00pm CT: TROPICAL DEPRESSION FIVE has just formed in the Gulf. This system continues to slowly strengthen and IS forecast to make landfall in Texas tomorrow as Tropical Storm Edouard.

The SPC is already highlighting the potential for flash flooding on Tuesday for SE . Now in the yellow slight category.

With any land falling tropical system named or not, plenty of rain can fall fast.

NEW (7pm CT, 8/30): GULF - NHC just now increases the chance of formation to a *HIGH* chance through 48 hours and through 7 days. A short-lived tropical system is looking increasingly likely. Main trends are bringing this system west, towards Texas.

At this point, more tropical moisture is headed our way, which is great news. Too early for other details just yet. But, yes, a short-lived tropical depression or storm is in play.
