𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗯𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝟱% 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗸𝗶𝗱𝘀?

It could provide scholarships, classroom opportunities, youth activities, recreation or experiences that help young people discover what they are good at.

If that sounds like you, then maybe kids are your 5%.

𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗼𝗻𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘆! 💙

Here in Sherman County, nonprofits are doing the work every day—feeding families, supporting our kids, caring for animals, preserving our history, improving community spaces, and making life a little better for all of us.

At SCCF, we’re proud to support and work alongside so many of these organizations. Their impact is possible because of dedicated volunteers, generous donors, hardworking leaders, and a community that continues to show up.

Today, we celebrate all the nonprofits helping make Sherman County a great place to call home.

Let's be clear….this is not about choosing between your family and your community.
Your family comes first.

"What's Your 5%?" simply asks whether, after the people you love have been taken care of, a small piece of what you have built could continue helping the community you love.

It is your plan, your choice and your 5%.

When we ask, "What's your 5%?" we aren't asking you to give away 5% of your income.

We're asking you to think about the future.

𝘈𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘯 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧, 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘧 5% 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘺𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘚𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘊𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘺?

That 5% could support something specific or simply be available to help meet Sherman County's future needs.

It is 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙥𝙞𝙚𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙬𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙮 —but together, those pieces could make a big difference here at home.

𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲-𝗔-𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵, so it seems like a good time to ask a question we probably don't think about very often:

𝘐𝘧 5% 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘺𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘚𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘊𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘺, 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰?

Maybe you'd want it to help local kids. Support healthcare or education. Take care of a park or community space. Help an organization that has meant something to your family. Or maybe you'd want it to go wherever Sherman County needs it most.

The idea isn't to take anything away from your family. They come first.

But after you've taken care of the people you love, could a small piece of what you've built also continue doing good in the community you love?

Throughout August, we're going to share some of the ways that 5% could make a difference right here at home.

In the meantime, we'd love for you to think about it:
