Why do we have both a Chamber and a Community Foundation?

While the Goochland Chamber of Commerce and the Goochland Chamber Community Foundation work closely together, each serves a different purpose.

The Chamber of Commerce focuses on strengthening our local business community by connecting people, promoting growth, providing education, and advocating for a thriving, business-friendly Goochland.

The Community Foundation allows us to extend that work into the broader community through charitable and educational programs. Its focus includes leadership development, entrepreneurship, workforce development, scholarships, philanthropy, and other initiatives that benefit Goochland’s adults and youth.

Simply put, the Chamber helps businesses thrive, while the Foundation helps build the people, programs, and opportunities that strengthen our entire community.

Together, they allow us to create a stronger Goochland—today and for generations to come.
