Let’s go Drew!

This season, our high school athletes made a lasting impression—not only through their performances, but through the way they showed up for our younger athletes.

Golden Elite serves youth from all walks of life, and one of the most meaningful parts of this season was watching our older athletes step into leadership roles without being asked. They encouraged, mentored, and pushed younger teammates to keep going when things became difficult.

Zane took Grayson, a first-year athlete, under his wing and constantly reminded him not to quit. When Grayson wanted to give up, Zane encouraged him to keep pushing. That support paid off, with Grayson recording personal records in all of his events at the Junior Olympics.

Ethan also became a mentor and role model for Luke. Before joining Golden Elite, Luke watched Ethan compete at a meet and said, “I want to be like him—and beat him.” Fast-forward to today, and Luke is now a two-time Junior Olympic medalist.

Synia, one of our top high school hurdlers, along with Chris, helped mentor Zavier as he transitioned into hurdles. With their guidance and encouragement, Zavier continued developing his technique and earned a personal record in the 80-meter hurdles.

These moments are bigger than medals and times. They represent what Golden Elite is truly about—leadership, mentorship, teamwork, and athletes reaching back to help the next generation move forward.
