We have three more king cakes left over from our oyster fry. $30 donation for them. First comment, first dibs. One uncut and two that were sliced and reassembled. No babies guaranteed in the sliced ones. And geaux!

Another ENF Super Bowl BBQ Chicken plate sale in the books! This has been a yearly local Elks tradition that goes back over 30 years. This year, we sold 150 plates and raised more than expected, thanks to generous donations. All the money will be donated to the Elks National Foundation, which in turn gives us grants to help our community, including veterans, children, and our Texas Elks Children's Services, Inc. summer camp. Thank you to all who helped donate supplies and food, were up early to start the fire and check temperatures, plated and bagged containers, and those at the front who kept the line moving smoothly and tracked pickups. We will see y'all again next year!

The Elks National Foundation is a 501(c)(3), and if you purchased a plate, you will receive a donation letter at the end of next year.

Are you a veteran? Do you know a veteran? The Gonzales Elks Lodge veterans committee is offering rides to and from doctors' appointments for any veteran, Monday through Friday: they do not have to be an Elk member.
