Wednesday night, we hosted the FIRST EVER ASCENSION FUND FAMILY FEUD, and it did not disappoint!! 🎉💙

A night filled with fun, a little friendly feuding, and most importantly, raising money for the heart of Ascension Parish — our teachers! 🍎✏️

Through the hard work of our Pencils & Possibilities team and the incredible support of our community, we were able to present a $10,000 grant to The Ascension Fund in our team's name! We are beyond excited to see the impact these funds will have on our teachers, classrooms, and the next generation of students in Ascension Parish!

🏆 A HUGE congratulations to our first-ever Family Feud champions, Hughes Insurance!! And a special thank you to Pelican CU, Forte & Tablada, and Oakview Outlaws for joining in on the fun and making this night one to remember!

🎤 A BIG THANK YOU TO MATT PERCY for being the BEST emcee we could have asked for!! He kept the energy high, the laughs coming, and the good vibes going all night long! We are so grateful he was part of making our first-ever event such a success!

To all of our sponsors and supporters throughout this year, THANK YOU! Your generosity and continued support have helped us turn our team's vision into something truly special. We couldn't have done it without you!

This is only the beginning for Ascension Fund Family Feud, and we cannot wait to watch this event grow bigger and better in the years to come!

THANK YOU!! 💙✏️🍎

What an unforgettable night! Grant Reading 2026 was everything we hoped it would be and more.

Last night at Mike Anderson's on Hwy. 30, we had the incredible honor of awarding grants to the educators who dedicate their lives to inspiring, encouraging, and shaping the next generation. There is nothing more rewarding than being able to give back to the teachers who give so much of themselves every single day.

To our amazing team, our team members' families, Mike Anderson's, our generous sponsors, team members from other Leadership Ascension groups, and every person who came out to support this mission—thank you. Your generosity, encouragement, and belief in what we're doing made this night possible.

We cannot wait to see the impact these grants will have in our classrooms and on our students. To our teachers, thank you for everything you do for our schools and our community. You are changing lives every single day, and it is an honor to celebrate you.

Our hearts are so full. Thank you for believing in our mission and for helping us invest in the educators who are building the future of Ascension Parish. We are already looking forward to doing it all again next year! 💙📚✨

🤝 Team Mate Tuesday 🤝

This week we're shining the spotlight on Austin Percival, a dedicated member of the Pencils & Possibilities team and a part of the BASF family.

Austin brings a strong commitment to teamwork, service, and creating a lasting impact within our community. He believes that teachers are the backbone of education and understands the important role they play in shaping the next generation. His passion for supporting educators comes from recognizing the time, dedication, and heart teachers pour into their students every single day.

Through Pencils & Possibilities, Austin is proud to help provide teachers with the support and resources they need to continue creating meaningful learning experiences in classrooms across Ascension Parish. His dedication to giving back helps move our mission forward and strengthens the connection between our community, educators, and students.

When he’s not serving the community, Austin enjoys spending time with his family and has a fun fact you might not expect — he grew up on an island surrounded by water but didn’t learn how to swim until he was an adult when his kids started taking swimming lessons!

Help us thank Austin for all he does to support teachers, students, and our community! 💙✏️🍎
