MEET OUR TUMBLING INSTRUCTOR!

ArtXecute is excited to welcome back Mikayla "Coach Kay" Whitted-Powell as the Tumbling Instructor for our 2026 Summer Theatre Workshop! She also served as the Tumbling Instructor for ArtXecute's 2025 Summer Theatre Workshop.

Coach Kay has spent the past eight years helping young athletes build strength, coordination, confidence, and self-esteem through tumbling and cheer. As a first-grade teacher, high school cheer coach, and certified First Aid and CPR instructor, she creates a fun, structured, and safe environment where students can learn and grow.

Whether your child is trying tumbling for the first time or looking to improve their skills, Coach Kay is ready to help them soar!

MEET OUR ACTING INSTRUCTOR!

ArtXecute is excited to introduce Barbara Jones, Acting Instructor for our 2026 Summer Theatre Workshop and Director of our upcoming production of Matilda!

With more than 30 years of experience as a scriptwriter, stage director, and youth theatre advocate, Barbara has dedicated her career to helping young people discover their voices, build confidence, and develop skills that extend far beyond the stage.

As the founder and Executive Director of ArtXecute, she has directed ArtXecute’s productions of Lion King Jr. and Annie, and is looking forward to leading students through another exciting summer of growth, creativity, and performance.

ArtXecute is excited to welcome back Ms. Colette Sherard as our Dance Instructor for the 2026 Summer Theatre Workshop and Choreographer for Matilda!

Ms. Colette doesn’t remember a time when music and dance weren’t part of her life. With a renowned musician father and a mother who taught African dance for years, a love for movement is truly in her DNA.

Our students already know the magic she brings to the stage! Ms. Colette served as choreographer for ArtXecute’s productions of Lion King Jr. and Annie, and now she’s returning to help bring Matilda to life.

Before the curtain rises, she’ll be helping our summer workshop students build confidence, creativity, discipline, and joy through dance.

ArtXecute’s FREE 2026 Summer Theatre Workshop is officially open for registration!

From July 6–August 14, students ages 8–18 will train in acting, singing, dance, and tumbling while building confidence, discipline, creativity, and leadership through the performing arts.

As they say… A lot can happen in 3 days and these young people were proof of that! It’s truly amazing to see youth transform right before your eyes. Given the opportunity to step up to plate these young people knocked it out the park! A big thanks to all that were a part of making this happen!
