Beee buzzzz is the loveable song of the Blue-winged Warbler. You won’t hear it this time of year, but you might see these birds as they make their way south.

All banding is conducted under a federally authorized Bird Banding Permit issued by the U.S. Geological Survey.

We’ve got news! September is one of the most exciting months of the year in the 💙 of the Chesapeake, with so many fun and intriguing events that really speak to what this place is all about. We've rounded up the top events for you in our Dorchester Tourism newsletter! Our connections to water come alive with a visit from a tall ship, a race of iconic oystering boats, and boat docking contests. The pull of the outdoors is there on an intense level with the IRONMAN Maryland triathlon, and on a much lighter level with Warwick RiverFest and its homemade raft races. Native American events and Underground Railroad Month tap into our deep-rooted history. It should be a great month!
