🌱🌿 Bridging Generations: Youth Planting Event 🌿🌱

Join Growing Generations and the Housing Authority of the City of Goldsboro for an evening of family fun, learning, and community connection!

Bringing the whole family together as we plant seedling cups, learn gardening basics, and discuss exciting community garden project that will provide fresh fruits and vegetables for local families. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect across generations while learning how to grow healthy food together.

🌱 Help Bring a Community Garden Back to Life! 🌻

Join Growing Generations and The Housing Authority of the City of Goldsboro during the 2026 Day of Action and help restore a community garden that provides residents with opportunities to garden, connect with nature, and build community.

Many of the garden's participants are seniors with limited mobility or health concerns. Volunteers will help prepare the space for future planting by removing weeds, clearing overgrowth, and improving garden beds. No gardening experience is necessary—just a willingness to get your hands dirty and make a difference!

📅 Volunteer Dates:
• Monday, June 15, 2026
• Monday, June 29, 2026

📍 508 E. Walnut Street, Goldsboro
👥 5 Volunteers Needed Each Day

Can't volunteer? You can still support the project!

The garden is seeking donations of:

🌿 ½ Cubic Yard of Compost to help restore and enrich the soil.

💙 Monetary donations are also welcome and will be used to purchase materials needed to revitalize the garden.

Together, we can help create a thriving outdoor space where residents can grow fresh produce, enjoy the outdoors, and connect with their neighbors.
