Please consider becoming a member of a Nightingale Farewell!
Do you live in Wayne County, NC? Are you a nurse (active or retired; LPN or RN)? Are you interested in being a part of A Nightingale Farewell? If so, please reach out to us by contacting an active member, Mrs. Lena Jones, or sending a message through this site. Member requirements:
1. We hold quarterly meetings and your attendance is required at two of four meetings annually to remain in active status.
2. We have a real need for individuals to participate in services during the weekdays, which is an excellent opportunity for retired nurses to serve the community and our wonderful profession.
3. Dues (minimal; currently on hold)
4. Uniform: Purchase of solid white nursing uniform, shoes, cap (for women), cape, umbrella (solid black), and winter gloves (solid black)
