Golden Retriever Rescue of Mid Florida Golden Retriever Rescue of Mid-Florida is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt charitable organization serving Mid-Florida communities since 1991. It's all about the dogs!

Our ongoing mission is saving, protecting, and rehoming golden retrievers, retriever breeds, and blends with golden hearts who have lost their home and families. Our all-volunteer organization has rescued thousands of retrievers, and is managed by a Board of Directors with many years of rescue experience. We provide dogs in need a home-based foster care environment, medical care, force-free behavi

or modification training, and a forever home through adoption. Our community education and outreach programs, featuring our GRRMF Hearts of Gold dog therapy team, support our rescue efforts. Who is that gorgeous Golden out shopping? 🐾🍷
Why, it’s Ellie, one of our sweet Hearts of Gold pups and a very important Jupiter Golden Jubilee ambassador! Clearly, she takes her official duties very seriously. (She was a little disappointed to learn the wine wasn’t for her. 😂)

Ellie stopped by Total Wine & More to deliver some tail wags and Golden gratitude for their generous raffle donation for our Jupiter Golden Jubilee event!

💙 Archie puts the “A” into AWESOME! 💙 He loves bringing comfort to memory care residents and listening to children read at elementary schools. Archie has a heartwarming way of making everyone smile. He's always wagging his tail for students, fetching two balls at once, and sneakily collecting his parents' shoes at night to bring to bed.😄 At home, Archie burns off his energy swimming in the pool or playing hide-and-seek, proving he is just as playful as he is loving. Thank you to Terry Ann and Archie for sharing your hearts and showing us how much joy one dog can bring to so many different generations.

River is a sweet, playful puppy who loves people, dogs, toys, and chasing anything that moves! Her joyful puppy spirit and constantly wagging tail make everyone around her smile.

But River is facing a serious medical mystery. A large mass on her head has been drained by our veterinary partners, only to refill again. The cause is still unknown, and she will soon be seen by specialists at UF Veterinary Hospital.
