You’ve asked some really thoughtful questions about how fundraising works at Fairmount. How is Fund Fairmount First different from Casino Night or Books with the Birds? Why do we use several fundraising approaches? And where does our annual PTA budget actually go?

PTA President Pamela O’Connor recorded a short video to walk through it all, plainly and transparently.

Most importantly: we do not expect every family to participate in every fundraiser. There isn’t one “right” way to support Fairmount. Give when it makes sense, volunteer when you can, attend something fun, share an idea, or simply stay connected.

Hi Fairmount families! We've heard your questions about our fundrai...

Now that the tables are set, we can finally show you what we mean by going all in. 🎲

This is a full parents-only Casino Night: the games, the drinks, the auctions, the chance to dress up a little and an entire evening with Fairmount friends that doesn’t involve standing in the pickup line.

Most importantly, this is meant to be genuinely fun. Play all night or just make the rounds. Bid on something great. Take the photo booth pictures. Catch up with people you keep meaning to make plans with. And support our school while you’re at it.

Swipe through for the game plan, text the people you want at your table and grab your tickets here:

Our fall fundraiser event night is on! Now we are looking to make the silent auction irresistible.

Before we can tempt everyone with weekend getaways, great seats, date nights and local favorites, we need our community to help put them on the table.

Own a business? Have access to tickets, a vacation rental, a class, a service or an experience? Know someone who does? We’d love to hear from you. And it doesn’t need to be a huge, big-ticket donation. A great product, gift card or monetary contribution can become something people are genuinely excited to bid on.

Every contribution helps turn one really fun parents’ night out into more support for Fairmount students.

Ready to go all in with us? Submit your donation here:

It’s time to get glowing, Firebirds! We’re back with another Fairmount community skate at Skate City and if you’re new to Fairmount, just picture one big party... on wheels. The kids get to skate, laugh and light up the rink with their school friends, while the grown-ups catch up from the sidelines (or bravely lace up, too).

And the more, the merrier: if we pack the floor, Fairmount receives a kickback! So bring the family, invite your friends and come roll with the Firebird crew.

One week to go, let’s light up Skate City!

If screens are one of those topics that keeps coming up in your house…same. 😅

That’s why we’re bringing in the people who can help us better understand what’s happening at schooland think through what healthy technology habits can look like at home.

We’ll keep the PTA updates brief, then turn it over to Jeffco Student Technology Services for a practical, parent-friendly conversation. Bring your questions, grab some food and come sit with us.

And if child care would make it possible for you to attend, we’ve got you! Just reserve your child’s spot in advance at fairmountpta.org.

See you Wednesday!

Last year, we heard you: all those little asks throughout the year were…a lot. So this year, we’re trying something new. Fund Fairmount First is one simple annual ask to help cover classroom celebrations, teacher appreciation, student experiences and all the little needs that pop up along the way.

We’re already 42% of the way to our goal. Let’s all get in on this together, see if we can crush it, and retire a whole lot of sign-up sheets while we’re at it.

Give what works for your family at https://www.fairmountpta.org/fundraiser/3571. Every contribution helps, and every dollar stays close to home.

Fairmount, you absolutely SHOWED UP. Our biggest turnout, highest energy and best vibes yet. To every sponsor, vendor, volunteer and behind-the-scenes planner who helped bring the Back to School Bash to life: you absolutely crushed it.

And to all the families who came out to eat, play, dance, reconnect and celebrate our school: thank you. This is what makes Fairmount feel like Fairmount. What a way to start the year!
