Come out to our Fun Shoot this Saturday! Youth will have the opportunity to try out different shooting disciplines with Jeffco 4-H volunteers. This free event is a great way to dip your toe into 4-H shooting sports projects!

4-H Fun Shoot – Try Out Archery, R***e, Sh***un and More! 🎯

Curious about 4-H Shooting Sports? Come join us for our annual Fall Fun Shoot on Saturday, October 17th from 10 AM – 2 PM at Thyne Ranch (19271 Hwy 8, Morrison, CO).

🎯 Try out different shooting sports disciplines
🙌 Guided by experienced 4-H volunteers
🌟 Open to ALL youth who will be 8 y/o by 12/31/2026 — 4-H membership not required
💲FREE Event!
👟 Closed-toed shoes required

This is the perfect chance to see if a Shooting Sports project is right for you, all in a safe, supportive, and educational environment. There will also be staff onsite to talk about next steps on how to get involved with 4-H!

Food will be available for donation (cash only), to raise money for the program. All money directly benefits Jeffco 4-H youth!

National 4-H Week: Day! 🍀

Today, during National 4-H Week, we're shining a light on the amazing volunteers and members who make 4-H such a special community.

This week, we're especially thankful for the dedicated volunteers who give their time, talents, and hearts to support our 4-H youth. Whether they're organizing meetings, planning activities, mentoring members, or helping at events, their impact reaches far beyond what many people see.

We're excited to recognize longtime volunteer Jennifer and newer volunteers Jeremiah and Jessica of the Pleasant Park 4-H Club. Pictured here with club member Avery and her family at our recent Open House, these volunteers are wonderful examples of the caring adults who help make 4-H a place where young people can learn, grow, and thrive.

Thank you to Jennifer, Jeremiah, Jessica, and all of our incredible 4-H volunteers. Your dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment to our members help make our program stronger every day. We are so grateful for all you do! 💚🍀

National 4-H Week: Day! 🍀

This past weekend, 4-H members Ruby B. and Keegan B. showed their 4-H spirit while representing their club, Urban Tractor, at Lakewood C***r Days!

These two members are always looking for an opportunity to grow, whether that is talking to new families at community events or stepping up to serve as an officer in their club and at the county level!

They embody the 4-H spirit year-round, ready to try something new and always pushing to be the best versions of themselves. We are lucky to have them out representing 4-H!

A New 4-H Year is Here! 🍀

It's October 1st, so that means it's a start to a new program year with Jeffco 4-H!

Returning members should re-enroll in 4-HOnline and pay enrollment fees before participating in any 4-H activities.

It was so great to celebrate the volunteers that make 4-H the program that it is!

We are lucky to have over 100 leaders that have a passion for lifting up young people and helping them grow into well-rounded adults. From leading club meetings and planning fundraisers, to teach project skills and dedicating their time to youth, they do so much for our program. We would not have nearly the reach that we do, without volunteers.

We are so grateful for all that you do for Jeffco youth. Thank you!

What a STEM filled Summer!🤖🔆

In July our 4-H Specialist Alex led a LEGO Robotics camp for youth to explore coding, problem solving, and show off their creativity.

Each day featured a lesson that required them to work as a group to build a code that helped their LEGO creations accomplish a goal. From helping a horse drawn carriage return gold to a castle to helping a pirate ship navigate to an island, there were so many fun challenges for our campers to work through. Youth also got to play games and have free build time at the end of the day, to be creative with that they learned that day.

It was a super fun week that we can't wait to do again!

Sweet Summer Memories! 🔆💧

This June, our Jeffco 4-H campers set out on a two-night adventure at the 4-H2O Summer Camp—an experience designed to build confidence, spark curiosity, and connect youth to Colorado’s incredible waterways. This year’s journey took us to Winter Park, where campers explored the Fraser River and learned more about its watershed.

From the rush of whitewater rafting to the quiet focus of macroinvertebrate sampling, campers dove into hands-on learning and outdoor fun. They cooked their own meals, practiced teamwork, and built new friendships around the campfire. Along the way, they learned how healthy rivers support vibrant ecosystems—and how they can be stewards of those spaces.

It was a packed few days full of smiles, growth, and fun. We’re already excited to see what adventures next year will bring!

We had an incredible turnout in June for our annual United We Show Jackpot!

Many 4-H'ers from across the state came out to show their goats, sheep, and beef and get feedback from judges before their county fairs.

Great job to everyone who came out! Participants helped raise money that will go towards educational livestock experiences for our Jeffco 4-H'ers!

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteer Tasha who puts in so many hours organizing this every year. This event would not happen without her! 🍀

More Summer Memories!🔆

In June, our 4-H Specialist Alex led a special Nature Camp for Cloverbuds! These are our 5-7 year olds who are focusing on building their social skills and trying new things.

This camp had a different focus each day from animals to geology! We explored demonstration gardens, did scavenger hunts, and even got to see some live Colorado native wildlife via Zoom!

It was a fun week, full of hands-on activities!
