We are a 501 (c)(3) Non-Profit Organization located in beautiful Golden Valley Arizona. We are committed to providing every need for each one.

Our mission and goal is to provide a safe haven for any donkey placed in our care. Scruffy, Olive, and Sedona gave us the idea to incorporate their initials into our name. Knowing that S.O.S. is the universal morse code for Help!, but another common usage definition of S.O.S. is also 'Save Our Souls,' we like to believe that we are saving all the precious souls given over to our care. Our goal is to provide a loving forever home for those donkeys that are or were at high risk. We would love for you to visit the donkeys at SOS Donkey Haven. All visitation will be by appointment only. Please try to allow at least 24 hours notice. You will be required to sign a Waiver and Release of Liability. We prefer Zelle as we receive 100% of all donations. Our only rules for posting to our page is as follows:
1. You will be polite at all times. Do not engage, report to us!
2. You will not attempt to sell anything on our page.
3. You will not engage in negative conversations about religion, or any
kind of political opinions. Take it to another page.
4. Please leave being an "ass" to the real asses! We want you to enjoy
your time with us!
5. To post on our page you can not have one of our administrators blocked. You will receive one warning and then your posting privileges will be revoked.

SOS Donkey Haven is located at 5104 West Oatman Highway in Golden Valley. Gates will be open from 10am-1pm.

Please bring a chair and no dogs. Hope to see you there!

Happy Happy Birthday to our Sweet Olive!! You are 7 years of special everything and we love you so very much!

We all enjoyed a yummy celery breakfast this morning and Doreen was in attendance to help us celebrate.

Meg Goodyear, celebrated Arizona artist, has again generously donated another absolutely beautiful original painting of one of the resident donkeys in Oatman Arizona titled "One Barley Pop Please" for our upcoming Fall Cele-Bray-tion on October 17th.

The painting is 22.25 x 26 framed with a dark wood frame and signed on both the front and back by the artist.

We will be selling this as a silent online auction item. This painting value is $1200.00. The starting bid is $100.00 with $25.00 bids increments.

Starting date for the auction will be Saturday September 26th at 6:00am PST with an ending date of Friday, October 16th at 11:59pm PST.

Buyer to pay shipping costs from Golden Valley AZ, 86413

Bidding Rules are below:

- Starting bid: $100.00

- $25.00 bid increments

- All valid bids to be made openly in the comment section. Private messages, texts and email bids do not count as to keep the process transparent

- No edited bids (or comments). This will invalidate bids

- Bids are binding: A bid is a legal commitment to buy. Retracting or deleting a bid can result in getting banned from community groups

- No shill bidding: Using alternate accounts or friends to artificially drive up the price is strictly prohibited and leads to immediate bans

Pickup and Payment Rules:

- Winner will be notified by private messenger after event has concluded on October 17th

- Once winner has confirmed, SOS will post a notification on our page

- Winner must arrange payment to SOS Donkey Haven within 48 hours of notification or item goes to runner up

- Payment Terms: Cash (if in person), PayPal or Zelle

What a great weekend both donkeys and humans had with our friends, Peter and Lisa Chanady from Toronto Canada!

We spent Saturday night enjoying a delicious dinner and drinks cruising aboard the Laughlin River Boat. What a fun experience but we missed you Jen and Ronnie😢

Sunday morning was full of yummy treats for the donkeys during a visit to SOS to say hi. They all raced to the gates to say "Welcome Back" to two of their favorite people!

Even Walter made a special appearance in his red, white and blue hat!

The morning was finished off with a great breakfast at Rutherford's 66 Family Diner in Kingman.

Thanks so much for your love and generosity Lisa and Peter! You both have huge hearts and we appreciate you and your friendship more than words can express!

Sunday was farrier day! All 9 donkeys got their toes done and they look fabulous!

Mark and Ryvor do a great job as always. Olive and Betty Pea were a little on the naughty side but all in all, they were a pretty good crew.

It sure was hot out yesterday 🔥🌞😎
