We are a 501 (c)(3) Non-Profit Organization located in beautiful Golden Valley Arizona. We are committed to providing every need for each one.

Our mission and goal is to provide a safe haven for any donkey placed in our care. Scruffy, Olive, and Sedona gave us the idea to incorporate their initials into our name. Knowing that S.O.S. is the universal morse code for Help!, but another common usage definition of S.O.S. is also 'Save Our Souls,' we like to believe that we are saving all the precious souls given over to our care. Our goal is

to provide a loving forever home for those donkeys that are or were at high risk. We would love for you to visit the donkeys at SOS Donkey Haven. All visitation will be by appointment only. Please try to allow at least 24 hours notice. You will be required to sign a Waiver and Release of Liability. Please text (or call) Erin at 612-801-6247 to make an appointment. We prefer Zelle as we receive 100% of all donations. Our only rules for posting to our page is as follows:

What a great weekend both donkeys and humans had with our friends, Peter and Lisa Chanady from Toronto Canada!

We spent Saturday night enjoying a delicious dinner and drinks cruising aboard the Laughlin River Boat. What a fun experience but we missed you Jen and Ronnie😢

Sunday morning was full of yummy treats for the donkeys during a visit to SOS to say hi. They all raced to the gates to say "Welcome Back" to two of their favorite people!

Even Walter made a special appearance in his red, white and blue hat!

The morning was finished off with a great breakfast at Rutherford's 66 Family Diner in Kingman.

Thanks so much for your love and generosity Lisa and Peter! You both have huge hearts and we appreciate you and your friendship more than words can express!

Sunday was farrier day! All 9 donkeys got their toes done and they look fabulous!

Mark and Ryvor do a great job as always. Olive and Betty Pea were a little on the naughty side but all in all, they were a pretty good crew.

It sure was hot out yesterday 🔥🌞😎

It is with a truly broken heart that we post this sad news...our Oatman matriarch April, was sadly hit and killed this morning on the road.💔💔💔

She was buried next to her soul sister Nikki where they can play and steal bags and candy forever!

After she passed, we looked to the Oatman skies and found that she told us all goodbye with a special rainbow. She was thinking of all of us🌈🌈

We are so excited to show off the amazing paint job on our new (used) storage container.

Santana Block (Chavez), of Kingman, did this masterpiece in one day...ONE DAY!! Exactly what we asked for. Thank you Santana!🔥🔥🌟

This is step 2 of 4 of our project. Next is the lean-to that will be erected on each side of the container and lastly, landscaping.

Our plan is to have all of this completed by our Fall Open House on Saturday, October 17th.

It's a very special weekend... yesterday was America's 250th Birthday and...

Today is WALTER'S 7TH BIRTHDAY!! Hee Haw! We are all so very excited to celebrate! Walter strolled around SOS and got celery and juicy watermelon from Uncle Mike for treats! Yummy😋

The Mayor was kind enough to share with the other donks and they loved it.

Kelly is doing good and recovering well. She is still doing treatments so please continue to pray for her and Brad. We are hoping to have them back soon!
