Minnesota Military Family Foundation Minnesota Military Family Foundation is a Minnesota Non-Profit Organization created to Help Military David Hamlar, R. Tim Kennedy.

Founded by Chairman of the Board, Bill Popp, the MMFF is led by an all volunteer Board of Directors; MG (Ret.) Jon Trost, Tom Lyons, Tom Jenkins, Sue Kennedy, Dennis Angel, Jim Carey, Jason Burley, BG (Ret.) Tim McElroy and Executive Director BG (Ret.) The MMFF seeks funds to financially support Minnesota military personnel and their families with financial grants during times of extraordinary har

dship. The MMFF is a community-supported fund founded in November 2004. Contributions are made by people who understand that there are many sacrifices that military families make and want to help soften the extraordinary financial hardships that may occur when a family member is deployed by providing a financial safety net.

On June 6, 1944, nearly 160,000 Allied troops landed along a 50-mile stretch of heavily-fortified French coastline, to fight N**i Germany on the beaches of Normandy, France. More than 5,000 Ships and 13,000 aircraft supported the D-Day invasion, and by day's end, the Allies gained a foot-hold in Continental Europe. The cost in lives on D-Day was high. More than 9,000 Allied Soldiers were killed or wounded, but their sacrifice allowed more than 100,000 Soldiers to begin the slow, hard slog across Europe, to defeat Adolf Hitler's troops.
