There is a very serious forest fire in the mountains surrounding Antigua, Guatemala that has burned indigenous village homes, with injuries. This morning, we were asked by the National Emergency Committee to provide Project staff and volunteers to assist with fire victim relief efforts.

In addition, we have been asked to provide face masks, burn creams, wound care, drinking water and any other support we can offer to victims and First Responders.

We have accessed emergency relief supplies to assist with this critical emergency effort. Please keep everyone in your thoughts and prayers, and if you are in a position to support financially please donate at www.GodsChild.org.

Thank you for your support!

DON'T MISS OUT!

BISMARCK EVENT ANNOUNCED!

COME VISIT best-selling author and Emmy-award-winning journalist, Monica Hannan, as she signs copies of her book The Dream Maker:

THIS SATURDAY, March 23

1:00 – 3:00 p.m.

Barnes & Noble
565 S 7th St, Bismarck, ND 58504

Monica tells the dramatic story of Bismarck born Patrick Atkinson and his journey through war-zones to help children survive the unimaginable. Amazon review below:

“Monica Hannan has written the story of one man who has seen the faces of the least of God's children and is doing something. It is a story that takes us behind the headlines and the predigested propaganda that we receive about the poorer nations of our world. It is a story of bitter poverty, horrible misuse of power as well as a story of the power of love and compassion and the changed lives that sometimes result from that care. It is not a rosy picture she gives us, but it is a real story of a man empowered by God to do something about the sorry state of the world in places where most of us would fear to tread. Even as I think about the title of Monica's book, the haunting lament of the man from La Mancha moves through my mind:

To dream the impossible dream
To fight the unbeatable foe
To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go

Most of us hunger to make a difference in our world. Patrick Atkinson is facing that hunger by placing his life on the line to meet the "unbearable sorrow" of the children who have no one else.

Read it and weep. And then stand up and join those who are dreaming the dream of a better life for those who have no hope.”
