Redeeme As the Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder of Let’s Talk About It Corp, I am deeply motivated by my personal experience with mental health. Having faced my own challenges, I understand the transformative power of vulnerability and the importance of seeking support. My experiences have fueled my passion
for creating a safe and inclusive environment where individuals can find solace, understanding, and empowerment. I firmly believe that mental health is not a disability but an inherent part of being human. By
embracing our challenges, we unlock our full potential and contribute to the growth of a
stronger and more compassionate society. I am committed to leading Let’s Talk About It Corp in
revolutionizing our approach to mental health, fostering hope, and inspiring positive
transformation. Together, we're building a movement that challenges societal norms, promotes
self-care, and inspires lasting change. By fostering a culture of compassion and
understanding, we're empowering individuals to live their fullest lives, free from the
constraints of mental health stigmas. I’m fueled by a relentless passion to transform the perception of mental health. My own experiences

Peace be upon you all.

There was a number.

I was a kid in the system, and I did not know what it was called. I knew somebody picked up. That was enough.

It was the California Youth Crisis Line. It has been picking up for forty years, for every kind of young person the state has a file on and struggles to hold on to. Foster youth. System-impacted youth. Youth with no roof. The organization behind it is the California Coalition for Youth. Forty-seven years, and never once gathered the people who carry this work into one room.

November 19, they are. Capitol Event Center, four to seven. The young people this is for will be telling their own stories.

Then April 11 to 13. The Youth Empowerment Summit at the Embassy Suites Riverfront. Paint the Capitol Bold. Three days to work on ending youth homelessness in California with the people living it.

I do the forensic work at Cal Youth now. I am writing as the kid who got moved thirteen times. The ones behind me still aren't counting, and Cal Youth is part of why.

Everyone should have a place to sleep at night, and yet today there are thousands of children, teens and young adults right here in San Diego who will be sleeping in parks, at the beach, in cars or on friend’s couches.

The numbers are staggering. January’s volunteer effort led by San Diego's Regional Task Force on Homelessness counted 9,905 unsheltered kids and adults in San Diego – and that is likely an undercount.
