Soroptimist International of Gold Beach Soroptimist mission is to empower and improve the lives of women and girls through education and training. We are just off Hwy 101 in building on Caughell St.

Meeting are first three mondays of the month. 12 noon to 1 pm. PO Box 1132 mailing address. Values:

6/15/26 What a wonderful surprise SIGB had at our meeting. 2 events! Mary Jacobs - previous lived here and longstanding member for years joined us. Mary was here in Gold Beach for her Book signing tour! (She Takes the Helm) Wow! So good to see old friends and happy for her success. A amazing read.📚👍 Second, We had a great screen presentation from Teresa Miller who just got back from a Alaska 🛳 cruise. What amazing adventure, stories with pictures. Thank you!

8/6/26 Please Welcome our wonderful SIGB leaders of 2026. It was a wonderful, joyous Officer Installment Ceremony. These dedicated incoming SIGB officers will serve us proudly on the board at least 2 years. Our deepest sincere thanks to President Debbie Knight who stepping down to Director 1. What a sensational job Debbie's done in the last 2 yrs. Full of accomplishments, achievements for our club. Its been very dear to our hearts. The club thanks her deeply for her service. Debbie shared beautiful words of teamwork symbolism. Theme today was Riding the Waves of Service. The Lighthouse to guide them into the light and path of the future success. Such beautiful table and candle decorations. She offered the officers insightful words of encouragement and guidance. Thank you.

Exciting News! Ginny Williams, Curry Health Network CEO, presented information about the new oncology services being created at Curry General Hospital! Grants and contributions have combined to offer an Infusion Center with two new Oncologists! No more trips to the valley or Coos Bay for some of our ill neighbors! Services should start being offered in September! (Adult oncology only...child oncology is still best treated at children's hospitals)

4/27/26 We (Soroptimist International of Gold Beach) were honored to sponsor the Gold Beach National Honor Society newest members’ induction ceremony 4/27/2026. Teacher Blake Bowers has provided the energy and dedication to renew this program honoring high school students who showed high achievement in scholarship, leadership, service and character.
Congratulations to Kaeala Alo, Jeremy Dyson, Sophia Hawthorne, Jane Moon, Dexter Moore, Shreya Patel, and Coco Plaep (listed in alphabetical order).
Soroptimist Debra McDannell was honored to give an inspirational and congratulatory speech to the inductees. Other Soroptimists present were Leslie Smith, Tina Crump Lanier, Nichelle Hesenflow, and Bobbie Bales.
