The new essay topics have been announced and the essays will be due on the last day of October!
The Voice of Democracy Essay for 9th - 12th Grades is
"Is America Today Our Forefathers' Vision?"
The Patriot's Pen Essay for 6th - 8th Grades is
"My Voice in America's Democracy?"
and the youth essay for Washington State for grades 3 - 5 is
"How Should Our Veterans Be Treated?"

Don't forget to sign your veteran up for the VFW online magazine! The magazine is going exclusively digital at the beginning of 2024.

Even the Auxiliary will want to see articles about the VFW backing the bills to enhance and expand access to transition assistance for soon-to-be civilian troops and to guarantee veterans 2nd amendment rights so that there will be no hesitation if they feel it is threatened due to the need for counseling.
