School may be out but we still have a couple events to go before we wrap up this year!

Tonight we enjoyed FFA Day with the Cardinals at Busch Stadium. We had a great time and the Cards came away with the win!

It’s been a busy last week! Last Thursday members participated in our last contest of the year, horse judging. We placed 4 of 11 teams. Lily Vinyard and Adysin Wiley placed as 9th and 10th place individuals in the varsity contest.

Sunday we celebrated a great year at our annual banquet, shined a light on our members hard work and accomplishments, honored our seniors, and installed our new officer team.

Tonight we attended the Section 25 FFA banquet. We received plaques for placing in the top 3 at Horticulture, Job Interview, and Code of Conduct CDEs.

We have big dreams for next year and look forward to building on the strong foundation set by this years officer team!

It’s been a busy week of contests!

On Wednesday we traveled to Murray State FFA Field Day. Members participated in tractor driving, tool identification, livestock judging, and poultry judging. We had several top 10 finishes with more than 1500 students in attendance!

On Friday we traveled to SIU-C to participate in livestock judging. Members judged ten classes made up of cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs.

Our chapter will celebrate the deep connection between baseball and agriculture tomorrow with baseball and ag trivia, free popcorn for students and staff at lunch, and encourage you to support your favorite team by wearing a jersey or team colors!
