Feed Store Update! We know many of you enjoy visiting us to grab a bag of popcorn at our sporting events, and we love serving you! We did want to let you know that after more than 25 + years of $1.00 bags we are going to have to raise our prices to $2.00/bag. Like everything else our supply costs have risen, and we cannot absorb the cost any longer. We appreciate your support of our chapter and look forward to seeing everyone at games!

On Saturday July 18, seven members participated in the Section 25 FFA fair, held at the Massac County Fairgrounds.

Our members had a great day showcasing their hard work.

Our chapter also had members show projects in the exhibit hall. All members received A ratings on their projects!

We enjoyed our second day in Springfield at the 98th FFA State convention. We attended the election session and watched our new major state officers elected. Thanks to Dani and Ruby for serving as our delegates for elections. It’s an amazing process to witness!

On the way home we marked an item off our bucket list. We always pass the big pink elephant on I-55 and say we should stop, so today we did…and yes the ice cream was as good as we hoped! It was a cool place to explore.

Four members traveled to Springfield to attend the 98th Illinois FFA Convention. We enjoyed attending a session today, featuring a keynote from National FFA Central Region Vice President Claire Woeppel. A little shopping at Scheel’s and our usual Texas Roadhouse supper. We will attend another session tomorrow to participate in choosing the next major state officers!

Tonight we enjoyed FFA Day with the Cardinals at Busch Stadium. We had a great time and the Cards came away with the win!

It’s been a busy last week! Last Thursday members participated in our last contest of the year, horse judging. We placed 4 of 11 teams. Lily Vinyard and Adysin Wiley placed as 9th and 10th place individuals in the varsity contest.

Sunday we celebrated a great year at our annual banquet, shined a light on our members hard work and accomplishments, honored our seniors, and installed our new officer team.

Tonight we attended the Section 25 FFA banquet. We received plaques for placing in the top 3 at Horticulture, Job Interview, and Code of Conduct CDEs.

We have big dreams for next year and look forward to building on the strong foundation set by this years officer team!
