We had a great turnout today and raised enough for 3 scholarships this year! Thank you to everyone who came out and especially to those who dug up plants to sell!

Our May meeting was a busy one. We had much to discuss. Our June meeting is a field trip to see Heather’s gardens in Manchester. We shared a lovely Pot Luck meal. We have lots of good cooks and, of course, we enjoyed Susan’s punch. In July we have a speaker on Biophylia. Bring a friend or two. This meeting is open to the public. The plants you see were chosen as part of our plant swap. Bring one, take one. Everyone went home with a new treasure.

Thursday, May 7 is our next meeting at the Odd Fellows at 6:30. This is our annual business meeting. Dues of $15 are due. Remember your ticket from the Currier can be exchanged for your dues. This evening is a Pot Luck dinner and a plant swap. I figured house plants, but you decide. We have lots to discuss about happenings for May, June, and July. See you there.

We had a great meeting last evening. Thanks to new member, Heather Robinson, we were able to connect to the new Tech. System at the lodge. We watched a slide show of the floral installations at the Currier last month. We stopped it anytime someone had a comment or question. Casey Leach presented information about her process of being one of the designers. It was a wonderful 1st half. The last portion of our meeting was presented by Pat Sullivan. We watched a YouTube by R. Christie, a mentor of Pat’s, about water wicking in your garden so you can sustain it while you are away. Pat then demonstrated with a system she has used many times. We all came away with hopes for spring to come soon so we can dig. Speaking of digging, be looking in your garden to see what you can dig and contribute to our annual plant sale. This year it is May 16. Very close. Our next meeting is May 7. This will be a Pot Luck dinner, a plant swap (either from your garden or a house plant) and a meeting as May and June are busy months for us. Also our dues are $15.

If you are planning on attending the State Spring meeting at Zorvino vineyards, I need your info and $45 BEFORE April 27.

Our first meeting will be Thursday, April 2, 6:30 at the Odd Fellows Lodge. We will have (if all goes well 😂) a slide show of the Currier Exhibit. The second half of the meeting will be presented by Pat Sullivan. Part of it will be a YouTube presentation of a watering system for house plants and then Pat will present her own system that has been successful for her as she spends much time in CT in the summer. I hope to see everyone there as we kick off a great year of meetings.

Just one of the 18 floral/Art arrangements at the Currier. Please take the time to view this wonderful exhibit. I loved the subtle colors in this one. Many challenging pieces of art to work with. Thank you to all who designed. Our own clubs Casey Leach has a lovely piece. I’m not showing it, you have to go see it! 10-5 Saturday and Sunday.

I thought you would like to know about this. One of their members will be speaking to our club in the Fall-October. He suggested coming to this display in Nashua this weekend. I believe he said they will have thousands of orchid on display.
