The Gober Community Club recently organized a Post Office Committee to research, discuss, and recommend the best course of action for the old post office building. Our goal was to consider safety, as well as honoring Gober history. The Committee decided that the post office building will be taken down on or immediately after (weather permitting) May 31, 2026. Weather permitting, the building will then be burned and will be buried in Gober.

If you would like to view or take photos of the building prior to May 31, 2026, please use extreme caution around the building, including the porch and surrounding areas.

We have plans to honor the building's history in the Community Center. We know many physical locations in and around Gober hold many special memories for lots of people and we believe this is the best way to preserve those memories with safety in mind.

The Gober monthly meeting will be tomorrow, Monday, May 11th at 6:30 pm. We will be enjoying a Mexican food potluck.

Gober Community Club's monthly meeting will be tomorrow, Monday, March 9th at 6:30 p.m.

The meal theme is “BYOP” (bring your own potato)! Please bring your own pre-baked potato to enjoy. Cheese, sour cream, and butter provided. Also bring any additional toppings you would like, sides, or desserts!

Just a reminder that we will have our February meeting this Monday, February 9th, at 6:30 pm. It will be Valentine's themed with a romantic cuisine of Italian food!

Bring your favorite Italian dish and/or dessert (or just yourself!) and join us for the potluck meal and meeting, followed by some fun Valentine's activities.

Just a heads up! We have heard that County Road 3310 should not be travelled today given the conditions. People have been getting stuck in the ice/mud and are having to be pulled out.

Join us for our first Monthly Meeting of 2026 this Monday, January 12 at 6:30 pm!
