Thank you to everyone who joined us for our second annual FFA Banquet as an official chapter this year. We honored several students in the areas of:
•Committee Engagement
•Career Development Excellence or Leadership Development Excellent
•Discovery Degrees
•Greenhand Degree
•Retiring Officers
•Swearing in of a new advisor (Mr. Regner) and officers for the FFA year 2026-2027

As our wise senior graduate, Kaylee Leach, mentioned in her retiring address “Agriculture is not just farming but the people and the community”. We also recognized community members who have help supported us along the way. On June 2nd, we awarded Mr. David Kragnes and Ms. Kayla Lauer the highest award that any distinguished community member can achieve from the DGF chapter, the Honorary Chapter Degree.

Mr. David Kragnes (pictured below) has received this award for his contributions to our chapter that has helped set the foundation during his time serving with Co-Bank.

Ms. Kayla Lauer has received this award for her contributions for starting the FFA program as a club before the DGF FFA became a chapter.

We are grateful for our community partners who believe in the future of agriculture and our young leaders.

Spring is in the air and our students definitely feel it! Check out a snapshot of our Introduction to Horticulture and Welding II courses on their spring projects.

Horticulture is currently in their floral design unit practicing round arrangements, boutonnières, centerpieces, and more.

Welding II is wrapping up their welding projects before we transition to TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding. A few students have opted to make flowers for their final project.

Huge thank you to Dalbol Flowers in Fargo, ND for partnering with us to create this amazing opportunity for students to get hands-on experience in the floral industry.

Our Horse Evaluation has qualified for state making DGF History as the first TEAM to advance to state.

Paislee Buckle placed 5th individually in Horse Evaluation.

On Wednesday, January 28 DGF competed in the following areas: Floriculture, Agronomy, Fish and Wildlife, and Food Science and Technology. Food science (Kim Anderson, Abby Cadwell, Trezden Cox, and Ella Gronewold) took 3rd place, 1 away from qualifying for state! Floriculture, Agronomy, and Fish and Wildlife had some personal wins, especially with our first time competitors.

We are so proud of these rebels for trying new things, adapting under pressure, and wanting to continue to grow!
