Set sail on the Ardelle for an immersive experience of the Battle of Gloucester reenactments. With two unique Morning and Afternoon Sailing opportunities, participants can choose to sail through the Gloucester Harbor for a front-row seat to the naval battle or to view the British attack on Gloucester from the sea.

Sailing experiences are subject to weather and sea conditions, but will continue rain or shine whenever possible. If a cancellation occurs due to weather conditions, a full refund will be issued.

If you plan on traveling by car to the Battle of Gloucester reenactment events, please note the following parking locations. Be sure to visit battleofgloucester.com/transportation for specific information about all parking locations, as well as general information about shuttles, public transportation and driving directions.

Parking locations:

- Stage Fort Park, 24 Hough Ave., Gloucester, MA. Parking is $35 and CASH ONLY during reenactments. Parking lot opens at 7:30 a.m.
- Kondelin Rd., Gloucester, MA. Parking available on both sides of the road, with a shuttle service available to Stage Fort Park.
- O’Maley Innovation Middle School, 32 Cherry St., Gloucester, MA. Access to this location is from Doctor Osmon Babson Rd. off Washington St. Shuttle service is available.
- West Parish School, 10 Concord St., Gloucester, MA. Parking is available in the main lot, with a shuttle service available.
- Gloucester Cinema, 74 Essex Ave., Gloucester, MA. $20 parking and is about a mile walk to Stage Fort Park. Shuttle service is NOT available.
- Gloucester High School, 32 Leslie O. Johnson Rd, Gloucester, MA. The school is about a mile walk to Stage Fort Park. Shuttle service is NOT available.

On June 8, members of the Battle of Gloucester Reenactment Committee visited Gloucester High School for a day of engaging and interactive presentations. Each assembly included several short reels, costumed historical interpreters explaining the battle and life in colonial Gloucester, an opportunity for students to try on 18th-century sailing clothing and a preview of the Battle of Gloucester reenactment weekend.
