Hello neighbors, it's your Davenport Road Mad Scientist Quinton here with another update on The Giving Box.

Today we are loaded with fresh apples donated by our local grocer and the Food Bank. These wont last long so come get yours before they're gone! 🍎🍎

We still have a feeezer stocked with heat and eat meals, various breads, sweet treats and some meats.

Our canned food has beans for days, carbohydrates like rice and pasta, cereal and powdered milk. We have a limited supply of pop top cans so get em while they last.

In kitchenware we have a handful of pots and pans with a lid that fits, plates, cups and a little bit of cutlery.

We still offer clothing, undergarments and we will have some warm winter wear available upon request.

Furniture and appliances are now available with the required informational form we used for our records. We can offer basic household furniture and appliances like bed frames, kitchen tables and chairs, microwave, toaster oven and on occasion a fridge or washing machine if we have it.

The Giving Box v2.0 Inventory Update
Thursday, September 17, 2026

Hello neighbors, its your Davenport Road Mad Scientist Quinton here with another update on The Giving Box Inventory that just arrived this morning. I'll be here until late today so stop by before 5 pm if you want to catch up with me.

We have powdered milk, oatmeal packs and boxes of cereal.

We have frozen meats, heat and eat meals and meat pouches.

We have stem ripe produce like corn and potatoes. Come get em before they're gone.

We have sliced bread that's not frozen and only slightly mushed.

We have unwashed farm eggs, no cracks, I checked them.

Mac n cheese, peanut butter, beans, tomato sauce, more beans, applesauce, some more canned beans and lots of low sodium/no salt added options. We have some cans with the pop tops too.

We have coffee cups, plates, bowls, pots, pans, over-the-counter vitamins, supplements and other medicines. There are hygiene items like toothpaste, a couple rolls of TP, shampoo, skin care and some baby items too.

We are still offering clothing, bedding and accessories like underwear, shoes and socks to our neighbors in need. I still have furniture and appliance credits available as well but we have modified the process a little. Now we require you or your representative to come to The Giving Box and pick up the request form so we can keep track of the orders and deliveries.

School is back in session and we can really use some extra school supplies for the kiddos. Also, we can really really use some other products like baby diapers, in date baby foods, baby butt wipes, toilet paper towels, cleaning supplies even if they are half used and laundry detergent.

Thank you for being good neighbors.

🚨 BIG THURSDAY UPDATE from 7057 LINDA CIRCLE - WE DID IT! 🚨

Not bad for a Thursday, huh? 😎

This morning:
The upright freezer was still sitting in The Giving Box on Davenport with maybe 1 grocery bag of food in it. The rest was still in totes.

This afternoon:
✅ Upright freezer MOVED to 7057 Linda Circle and LOADED - breads, meats, hummus, deli trays, butter, bakery, full door to top
✅ Big silver can rack - 200+ cans, dry beans, soups, veggies, fruit
✅ Black wire rack from Davenport - now full kitchen aisle with pots, pans, foil, dishes
✅ Hutch / P.A.M. legacy wall - plates, bowls, glasses, vitamins, meds, mugs, plus the Gloucester Gazette clipping that started it all
✅ Mug wall + Food Lion Feeds boxes ready to go

What was totes on the floor yesterday is now a real walk-in free store.

📍 NEW HOME: 7057 LINDA CIRCLE, HAYES
Please bring ALL future donations to Linda Circle, not Davenport. And big news for neighbors without a ride - **Bay Transit bus makes stops right there at our corner, so you can get to us even without a car.**

*🙋 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!*
I can't run this alone anymore. If you have a few hours a week to help sort, stock shelves, keep the freezer organized and greet neighbors - message me. The Giving Box runs on neighbors helping neighbors.

🛋️ FURNITURE & APPLIANCE HELP COMING BACK SOON

♻️ NOW HIRING - P.A.M.'S PLASTIC PAVERS LLC - HEAVY EMPHASIS HERE!
This is the big one! P.A.M.'s Plastic Pavers is NOW ACCEPTING EMPLOYMENT APPLICATIONS FOR NOVEMBER INTERVIEWS!

We turn trash into pavers and we turn hard work into second chances. If you or someone you know wants to be part of building something real here in Gloucester - making recycled pavers, helping run the recycling mission, and keeping The Giving Box mission alive - we want to hear from you.

We still need everyday items - TP, paper towels, trash bags, dish soap, towels/washcloths, toiletries, diapers/wipes, light bulbs/batteries, and frozen foods to keep that new freezer full.

Thank you to every single person who donated, shared, hauled and helped bring this into reality. The Giving Box didn't close - it leveled up!

The Giving Box Update 📦
Wednesday, Sept 9, 2026

Y’all — we did it! That black wire rack you saw beside the upright freezer in The Giving Box on Davenport? It’s now up and FULL at 7057 Linda Circle, Hayes.

I got it loaded today with all the stuff from totes — food, dishes, cleaning supplies, personal care, the whole legacy wall with the newspaper clipping and P.A.M. samples.

TOMORROW: I’m moving the upright freezer FROM The Giving Box TO Linda Circle. That means The Giving Box is officially downsizing and Linda Circle is where the action is.

What we need at Linda Circle:
We’re good on canned/dry goods for now, but we’re LOW on:

TP, paper towels, trash bags, dish soap/sponges, towels/washcloths, socks, toiletries, diapers/wipes, can openers, Tupperware with matching lids, light bulbs/batteries.

AND NOW WE CAN TAKE FROZEN!
Since the freezer will be at Linda Circle tomorrow, you can bring:

Frozen veggies, frozen meats, frozen pizzas, meat nuggets, bread, butter — all that good stuff that helps a family stretch a meal.

As of this morning the freezer only had about 1 grocery bag in it, so we have LOTS of room.

Please bring frozen food donations to 7057 Linda Circle, Hayes going forward, not Davenport.

Message me if you have questions. Thank you to everyone who’s kept The Giving Box alive — we’re not gone, we're just moving the love down the road! ❤️

We had a couple donations this week, but the Gloucester Courthouse Little Free Pantry could certainly use some extra. If you have extra items in your pantry that you will not use, or you can pick up some extras at your next grocery visit, your neighbors in need would appreciate it.

Make donations directly to the pantry in front of Southern States Gloucester, 6766 Main Street, Gloucester. If you have a large donation, contact us for pickup.

If you are in need, stop by the pantry.

Maybe you can't donate. We understand. Please follow and share this page. This will help us reach out to others in the community.

Thank you for helping keep our neighbors fed.

🚂🚃🚃🚃💨💨 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️

The P.A.M. Train is leaving the station soon. Don't get left behind. We're loading up The Giving Box and moving in with Her 3 Boys Nifty Thrifty on Linda Circle down in Hayes across from Franktronics. In the next few weeks we're going to make this transition so be prepared for the box on Davenport Road to close down permanently. P.A.M.'s Plastic Pavers LLC will also move it's satellite office into the same space as The Giving Box. Hours are to be determined after we open back up for business. Stay tuned for more details.
