Big thanks to the Gloucester Chess Club, meeting tonight to raise money for a local Gloucester County charity! The winner gets to pick the charity their fundraising goes to, so wish good luck to our President…who hasn’t played chess in 25 years!

On behalf of everyone involved with Shop With a Cop, MERRY CHRISTMAS!

The partner businesses and people who help us raise money all year long;

The generous people in our community who trust us with their money and time;

Our dedicated group of volunteers;

The people who participate in our fundraisers;

The incredible deputy sheriffs, state troopers, and other law enforcement officers who take unfortunate kids from Gloucester shopping (and the ones who adopt entire families and make Christmas happen for so many during some really difficult times);

The whole teams at Walmart Gloucester, YROC Coastal Bar & Grill, Piankatank River Golf Club, Blown Away Salon, and so many other places that host our events and give us their energy;

And, most importantly, the moms, dads, grandparents, guardians, and extended families who allow us to serve your children when they could use the help.

To each of you, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU. We could not make Christmas a reality for our neighbors in need without each of you.

We are READY to take 102 Gloucester children who could use some extra Holiday help shopping tomorrow!

So many people have worked hard this year to make tomorrow possible. We’re going to have some smiling faces! Big thanks to our friend Rick Helton and his whole team at Walmart Gloucester for partnering with us again this year. It’s going to be a great day!

Awesome job Poquoson Police Department!

On December 6, 2025, we had the incredible opportunity to host our annual Shop with a Cop event with the Poquoson Police Foundation at Target in Newport News. Being part of our community fills us with joy and purpose. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making this event a truly special experience for these amazing kids.

***50/50 RAFFLE INFO***

Our annual SWAC 50/50 Raffle drawing will be held this Friday, December 12, at 10am! We will broadcast it on Facebook Live, so make sure to tune in to watch one lucky person win $5,000!

We would also like to give a GIANT thank you to our deputies, dispatchers, support staff, local businesses, and our other citizens who partner with us to sell these tickets! It takes a LOT to sell 2,000 tickets, but Gloucester's kids in need getting $5,000 out of the deal is worth it! Thank you to all of our sellers and to everyone who bought a ticket!
