Thank you so much to everyone who played in, sponsored, and donated to our 14th Annual Benefit Golf Classic! We had a great day and an excellent time at Piankatank River Golf Club, where the whole staff always takes excellent care of us.

Our Gold Level sponsor, PRIMIS Bank, has been an incredible partner these last several years, and we look forward to many more successful events with them.

We had an outstanding meal and beverage service, which was sponsored by our great friends Keith and Elisa with DFG Financial, who have been so generous to our organization for so many years.

***2026 SHOP WITH A COP APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN***

Gloucester County Shop With a Cop has opened the application window for citizens in need of Christmas or Holiday assistance for their children.

Applications will be accepted now through October 31, 2026. Please understand, we will be unable to accept applications that are INCOMPLETE or submitted after October 31, so please take your time and answer the questions asked thoroughly and completely before submitting the application on time.

Please note the following:

1. Only a parent or legal guardian can submit an application for a child.

2. Children must have their primary physical residence in Gloucester County and be between the ages of 4-17.

3. All children must be available to shop at Walmart Gloucester with a parent or legal guardian on Saturday, December 12 at 8:30am.

As a reminder, children are selected for participation based on a family's demonstrated financial need, the impact for the child of partnering them with a law enforcement officer or community leader, and a variety of other factors. The application provides ample space for families to give details for the Executive Board to consider. PLEASE take your time and provide us with as much information as possible for us to accurately evaluate your application.

You can apply online using the link below. If you prefer to fill out a physical application, hard copies are available in the lobby of the Gloucester County Sheriff's Office. If you have any questions, you can email [email protected] or call (804) 824-2534.

Also, please note: there is no need for families to call to check on the status of their applications. No decisions will be made prior to October 31, and all families will be notified by telephone or email no later than November 23.

We look forward to receiving applications from our neighbors who could use the extra help for the upcoming Holiday season, and thank you in advance for allowing us the possibility of helping your family.

🎣✨ A Huge Thank You to Our Incredible Silver Sponsor, Horn's Ace Hardware! ✨🎣

We want to give a very special shout-out to Horn’s Ace Hardware for their outstanding support of the 2026 Gloucester County Shop With a Cop Cobia Tournament!

Their generosity went above and beyond by providing our tournament buckets and donating fantastic raffle prizes that helped make this year’s event even more exciting for our participants. Their support plays a big part in the success of our tournament and, most importantly, helps us continue making a difference in the lives of children throughout Gloucester County.

We are truly grateful for your partnership, your generosity, and your commitment to giving back to our community.

Please join us in thanking Horn's Ace Hardware for helping make this year’s tournament such a success, and remember to support the businesses that support our community! ❤️🎣

Thank you so very much to all of the fishermen, vendors, sponsors, and volunteers that made our 4th Annual Cobia Tournament a huge success yesterday!

We’ll have pictures from our friend Sara Harris Photography for everyone posted on our page in the near future, along with the winners and final results of how much money all of you helped to raise for Gloucester’s children and families who need the extra help.

This would not have been possible without all of you, and also without our good friends Bryce, Dakota, Josh, Addy, and the whole team at YROC Coastal Bar & Grill. You guys are incredible partners, and we are eternally grateful for all you do for our organization and our community.

Four people I want to extend personal thanks to are Jamie Williams, Kyrstin Shackelford, Jennifer Graham, and Dylan Moore.

Jamie works hard all year long on this event. Nights, weekends, and holidays, she goes above and beyond to make sure everything goes right for this and so many other events. I could not ask for a better Treasurer, Event Coordinator, or person to take care of so much and do it so well.

Kyrstin is the Vice President of Gloucester County Shop With a Cop. Yesterday, she served as the tournament director, with responsibility for…well, for everything. She is dependable, reliable, and does an excellent job making difficult decisions and making me feel comfortable that our major operations are in good hands when I’m unable to be there.

Jennifer has put so much time and energy into our program every year. This year, she coordinated all of the volunteers…dozens of them…and made sure we had the right people in the right places to pull this off to our high standards.

Finally, Dylan has, every year, organized, facilitated, and operated our incredible raffle at this tournament. The prizes he gets donated are top quality, and he spends a ton of his personal time making sure that everyone has some great options to pick from as they buy raffle tickets to support this tournament and the mission of our organization.

Great job by all, and thank you. I am very grateful and lucky to have you.
