Congratulations to our Envirothon team! They placed second in special topic, soils, and oral presentation. They placed third in forestry and tied for first place in aquatics. Their overall placing was second earning them a spot at the state Envirothon contest next month! Team members are Delisha Minor, Emersyn Cahilly, Kara Willoughby, Lexi Spangler, Mia Cann, River Lux, and Taylor Lewis.

Congratulations to our hippology and horse judging teams on a successful weekend! The hippology team placed 4th overall, 5th in exam, 4th in judging, 4th in stations and 7th in team problem. Emma placed 5th overall, 6th in judging, and 6th in stations. Charlotte placed 8th in stations. The horse judging team placed 7th overall and 2nd in halter. Emma placed 7th overall and 2nd in performance. Autumn placed 3rd in performance.

We had 14 members attend area rally on Friday. Only a few are pictured but we all had a great time speaking with the state officers and learning new things in the workshops. The workshops varied from horse judging to public speaking. There was something for everyone.

Three of our current members, Eastin Hogge, Lexi Spangler, and Delisha Minor, competed at the federation level on March 4th. Eastin earned 1st in small engine trouble shooting, Lexi earned 1st in prepared public speaking, and Delisha earned 4th in extemporaneous public speaking. A former member of our chapter, Natalie Walke, served as a judge for the public speaking contest.

Eastin and Lexi went on to area rally to compete in their contests. Eastin earned third in small engine trouble shooting and Lexi earned first in prepared public speaking and she is going to compete at state convention. Congratulations to everyone 👏
