Long post alert! It is all important!
Helping The Homeless Ministries are receiving food donations at our Admin office Tuesday and Thursday of this week between 11 and 4 PM!
7040 George Washington Memorial Hwy Gloucester.
We realize our list is broad because we need food for the food bus to hand out to people in need but also to cook to serve hot meals with.
The Homeless comes into our store regularly needing food. That’s easy for them to eat without having to cook it. A few of the items that are microwavable, they can use microwaves at several locations. They are familiar with.
We also need bottled water, Gatorade, Powerade to help keep them hydrated!
Everything is needed and the food for our Homeless food bag list is at a critical low right now.
Regardless of what you are able to contribute, even if it’s one can of vegetables, please know that it all adds up and helps people who are struggling with food insecurities
The other important item to share is due to a new law in effect, we are no longer able to use Styrofoam trays to distribute our meals with. We now have to have biodegradable three part trays to serve our meals with. We have had to dispose of the ones were unable to use now. We are not even permitted to give them away!
We’ve ordered a few to make sure we can have enough to serve with the food bus the next couple of weeks.

HTH food and Supplies item needs list:
No longer allowed •disposable styrofoam 3 part dinner containers•.ALL MUST BE DISPOSED AND NEED TO REPLACE WITH biodegradable containers for us to serve people from our Mobile Food Bus.
All Styrofoam containers must be disposed of as we can be fine if we have them and use them.
We can’t even give them away or sell them in our store based on a new law that became in effect.

Food and supplies needed for Helping The Homeless - we are a mobile pantry with a mobile food bus. Unlike other food pantries, we serve a hot meal from our mobile food bus. We also give out assorted groceries.
We feed, clothe and restore the broken-hearted according to Matthew 25:35-40. So whether people are homeless or poor- we help them.
We are running low on food items needed for our Homeless food bags or Care packages.
Homeless food bags/care packages:
•microwaveable nonperishable foods like Mac & cheese; hormel completes, rice a roni, beans and weenies, raviolis, chili, etc
•tuna salad kits
•chicken salad kits
•chopped ham salad kits
•beef sticks, slim Jim’s
•beef jerky
•jif to go peanut butter
•tuna pouches
•pop lidded can food (soups - not condensed, fruits, raviolis, spaghettio’s, Beans & weenies, etc)
•individual portioned fruit cups, apple sauces/peaches, jello cups, pears, etc
•Vienna sausages
•potted meats
•instant coffees, creamers & sweetners (individual portioned)
•individual portioned condiments: jelly’s/honey/ketchup/mustard/relish
•boxed cereals(individual single size boxes)
