The Fairfield Foundation is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization founded in 2000 that is dedicated to involving the public in hands-on archaeology, preservation and education on Virginia’s Middle Peninsula. To conduct archaeological and historical research, and preservation and educational activities, on the property known as “Fairfield” in Gloucester County, Virginia;

l and historical research projects, and preservation and educational activities, throughout the region;
C. To publish reports and other documents, as appropriate, on the results of information found;
E. To promote scholarly educational programs, lectures, exhibitions, and events for disseminating information to the public;
F. To purchase, take, receive, lease, take by gift, devise or bequest or otherwise acquire, own, hold, improve, preserve, restore, use, or otherwise deal in and with real or personal property or any interest therein relating to the mission;
G. To engage in such other undertakings as may be necessary or desirable, and to exercise generally the powers granted to non-stock corporations pursuant to the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, so as to educate the general public regarding the historical significance of the region.
