A few years back, in 2005/06, a young man decided he wanted to try out boxing as his sport of choice. Another local boxing/martial arts enthusiast, an older gentleman, offered to help this young man to explore this path. The results now 16 years later are on display as that young boxer went on to create the Gloucester Boxing Club. From that club many young boxers, including Henry and Adrian have earned their suffrage through the club, many going on to compete in the Lowell Sun Golden Gloves and other tournaments. Henry went on to win the Marciano Boxing Championship. The club now offers daily classes for kids and young adults. The Gedney Brothers and others, older skilled boxers, give back to the clubs young students...a system of giving back has emerged through the efforts and dreams spurned by one, helping another, in reaction to the love of the martial arts path.
In 2006 that original young boxer also won the New England Golden Gloves Championship. Here is that final fight.

Carlo DaSilva wins the "New England" Golden Gloves series and voted "fighter of the Tournament".
