CALL FOR STORM MONITORS: Help document storm damage on Cape Ann.

The National Weather Service has issued a coastal flood watch for the Massachusetts coast in effect from Sunday morning, 2/1, through Monday morning. The combination of an 11 foot high tide and strong winds from a storm along the east coast may cause flooding of low lying locations. Road inundation is possible in some areas. High tides on Sunday and Monday will be between 10:30 and 11:30 AM.

If you are able to safely take photos of flooding and other coastal damage from this event please upload them to:

Salt Island is in holiday mode approaching the end of another year decorated with a fresh topping of snow and looking like a giant Proterozoic sugar frosted gingerbread cookie. Entering its 421 millionth year (roughly), Salt Island continues to delight young and old, inspiring both the adventurous and the contemplative to ask, “What’s on the other side?”
