Greetings,
At our stated communication on Sept. 1st we had the great honor of hosting Sandy Turlington the wife of the late Most Worshipful Thomas Turlington. He was Past Grand Master of Florida in 2012 and we have the great honor of being his home lodge. Sandy helped the brethren that did not know him, just how amazing of a man he was. To sum it up, he was a physical embodiment of what it meant to be a mason and we all have an opportunity to learn from the great work he did before laying down his working tools. She blessed us with a gift that will be honored for many years to come and we will have a physical reminder in our lodge of how we all aspire to as masons. We want to thank Sandy and –(I cant find the names of the two visiters that came with her)--- for coming to visit all the way from florida and making this meeting one we will never forget and giving us a reminder of why we do what we do. To take good men and make them better!

Greetings,
Sept. 1st 2026 we had the great honor and privilege to host Dr. Rebecca White from The GMCC and David Pickett from Bread for life at our stated communication. We were pleased to award them the community builders awards for the work their organizations do in our community.
The GMCC serves over 400 patients and are expected to have an increased demand of over 1,000 patients. With changes in Medicare and Medicaid, they will have less funds and will need to serve more people. So, if you have not supported them in the past, please consider joining us in supporting them as well. The work they do and the care they provide is crucial to so many people in our community. The only way they will be able to take on this higher demand is if we come together as a community and invest in a better and brighter future for all of us.
This leads us to the great work of Bread for life, they provide hundreds of meals a week to those in need of them. They do not turn anyone away because we all need a shoulder to lean on when those who need help have the courage to ask for it. This is just as important as the work our friends at the GMCC clinic do. If you are able to eat well and have a healthy balanced diet it reduces the need for medical care in the first place. This is something everyone deserves, more especially our children and that is where the majority of the food from bread for life goes to. Please consider supporting them as well and remember that since they are a non-profit, they are able to stretch a dollar way further than we could as individuals. All donations are welcome in the form of food or currency.
We thank both of these organizations and the individuals that make them successful! People like them are the back bone of a healthy society!

Friday night family night out a combined Botetourt #7 and Achilles #281 event that is the last Friday of the month. If you missed it there will be one next month. It was a great time for Masonic families to get together and great time. Thank you to IDK in Gloucester for hosting us and the great meal and service.

Botetourt Masonic Lodge #7 was honored to participate in today’s golf tournament supporting the Gloucester Mathews Care Clinic.
Our team represented the lodge at our sponsored hole and enjoyed a day of fellowship while contributing to an important community mission.

Botetourt #7 supported Job’s Daughters, one of the Masonic youth groups, and it proved to be a remarkable experience. It’s uplifting to see young people engaging with the community in meaningful ways.
