York River Yacht Club

Founded in 1985, we are a social group of sailors and power boaters on the York River and the Bay

The York River Yacht Club is a non-profit organization formed in 1985 for the following purposes: To promote and encourage yachting on the York River, the Chesapeake Bay, and on adjacent waters. To promote a medium of social and recreational fellowship among owners of power and sailing yachts in the York River area. To promote safety, boating education and etiquette, and responsible marine steward

ship. Our membership is made up of boaters from a number of area marinas, including York River Yacht Haven, Crown Pointe Marina and Wormley Creek Marina.

The York River Yacht Club 2026 St. Patrick’s Day celebration was a wonderful success, bringing together a great turnout of members and friends for an evening full of fun and camaraderie. Guests enjoyed outstanding food, plenty of laughter, and a lively atmosphere that captured the true spirit of the holiday. One of the highlights of the evening was a spirited game of Guesstures, which had folks laughing as teams raced to guess the clues. It was a fantastic night of fellowship and celebration, and a great reminder of the strong sense of community that makes the York River Yacht Club so special. 🍀

York River Yacht Club (YRYC) is a non-profit social club whose members have a keen interest in boating, cruising, and experiencing all that our waterways provide. Membership in our club will allow you and your family the opportunity to cruise, learn, and teach, while enjoying the waters of the York, Chesapeake and beyond. A membership includes access to free events that take place throughout the year.
