Scouting represents and provides some great things. It can help teach youth what "honor" means. The past actions of the organization, however, were not at all honorable. Hiding predators from law enforcement and concealing evidence of sexual abuse to "protect" the organization is unforgivable. The BSA needs to be fully accountable, responsible, and transparent. Past and present scouts and their families deserve no less. JMO - Craig

The plan would let the Texas-based organization keep operating while it compensates tens of thousands of men who say they were sexually abused as children while involved in Scouting.

An update on the BSA national sexual abuse scandal. Apparently, the Philadelphia region was a big part of the cover-up. We asked our sons to act with honor. While our BSA leadership/administration didn't seem to share those same values.

The settlement is the largest in a child sexual abuse case in United States history.

While I (Craig Matsumoto) don't regret being part of Troop 25, I remain ashamed that I wore the adult leader uniform of an organization that acted so irresponsibly in the protection of organization-over-children with regard to molestation of scouts all over our country by the BSA. BSA not only did nothing with molestation reports, but actively hid them from authorities, and buried the case files to protect the image of the organization. Not just one or two cases (although that would be enough), thousands and thousands of cases at a national level. We asked the boys to learn about and conduct themselves with honor...where's the honor in how the BSA conducted themselves? If you or anyone you know was sexually abused in scouting, please encourage them to report it and seek help.

Very proud to see former Troop 7025 Eagle Scout and current Washington Township Police Officer Frank Cicalese in the news. Thank you, Officer Cicalese for your continued service in keeping our community a safe place to live, work, and raise our families.

Officers Cicalese and Cicatello played basketball with Township Boy Scout Troop 123 yesterday at Washington Lake Park. Community Caretaking is about building stronger bonds with our community. Ofc. Frank Cicalese achieved Eagle Scout while in the Boy Scouts. This recognition is the highest achievement for Scouts.
