🧡 Bringing History Back to Life — in VR!
Love Where You Live celebrates the creative use of new technology to honor local history. Using a VR headset, local artist Rob Otero digitally recreated the historic PayNTakit mural in downtown Globe. This vintage sign — near Sycamore and Broad Streets by Holy Angels Church — once advertised a grocery chain that predated Safeway and helped shape early business in Globe. The project combines heritage and innovation, giving new life to a piece of local identity through modern preservation.
Explore more of Globe’s art and murals and keep an eye out for more Innocative and modern community art stories!

Globe is officially award-winning. The Stairizona Trail received the Governor’s Tourism Award for Best Cultural Preservation, recognizing our town’s blend of art, history, and urban hiking. Huge thanks to our local leaders, Globe-Miami Chamber of Commerce team, and City of Globe staff for championing this project and for teaming up with Love Where You Live. This award belongs to everyone who has painted, hiked, funded, or cheered on the Stairizona Trail. Here’s to small towns doing big things.

🎨 When art meets community, something special happens. 🎨
The Cobre Valley Foundation is proud to donate $22,000 to Love Where You Live, supporting the creation of three-dimensional art pieces that will be showcased along the walking path at Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center.
We may have struck an artsy pose for the occasion, but the real excitement is seeing creativity, wellness, and community come together in a meaningful way. We can’t wait to see the winning pieces installed and enjoyed by patients, staff, and visitors alike. 💚✨
