Here's a new twist to help celebrate our 150th year of Glidden. Along with the top 3 prizes shown here (sponsored by the VFW Post 7300), we will also hold a random drawing for every float in the parade that doesn't take one of the top 3 spots. That lucky winning float will win $150 also, sponsored by the VFW Auxiliary.

It's a great year to get together with some friends and family and put a float together!!!

Another step of another project is complete. Thank you to all those that sponsored sawblades and log ends! Thank you to Frank Schraufnagel and Cale Palecek for helping us get them up!

If you are looking to get either a sawblade (logging business) or a log end (personal name) for yourself or in honor of a loved one, we will have more information on how to do so closer to the Labor Day Fair.

UPDATE: All water is back on as of 4:43 PM.

Notice: Parts of Glidden (mostly up by the Catholic Church) will be without water until up to the end of the business day as the town crew will be repairing the line.

We still wouldn't mind to gain 1 or 2 more teams for the 4th of July kickball tournament, as we are currently at 2 teams, Dead Squirrel and Team Logan. $50 buy in. Payouts are higher than the take in. $200 to 1st place team, $100 to 2nd place. Let us know if you want to have a team.
