Hello Everyone! Our community gardens have some stuff ready and some stuff almost ready for the picking.
We have fresh basil, cilantro, chives ready to cut. We also have yarrow for your fresh tea.
Cherry tomatoes and other varieties are almost ready, so watch those. Green beans by the swing are doing well too. Do you see the peas climbing the trellis?
We harvested swiss chard last week and everyone loved that.
The deer have been helping themselves to our cabbage, but some of it hasn't been touched. I guess it is a "Community Garden." LOL!
Bring a cutting tool and help yourselves to what you need.

Our annual outing to "Art in the Park" was a great success! It was moved indoors due to air quality, but we had a great time anyway.
The music had us all stomping our feet, clapping our hands, and connecting with everyone...even those who have sensitivity to touch. Notice the scarves being held on each end.
The "See My Art" organization knows how to party! Amy and George love this event.

Got a call today from some folks just moving into Glidden. They inherited some furniture and don't need it all. It's in good shape and I'd be happy to take it, but don't have room to store it.

I can't say enough about our community and the people who make the holiday celebrations come together. Our Lauri Jean Zach Center July 4th parade float, bingo, concessions, and raffles were all a great success thanks to volunteers, board members, and staff. You all deserve much more than I can give you.
The people on the sidelines don't realize the many hours of prep work and energy that go into planning events like this and I want all volunteers and staff to realize that I know what it takes. I thank you for your efforts.
We'll see you all at the bingo stand next year!

Come and see us at Marion Park Friday night!

Put on some skates and do a few rounds to work up an appetite.

We'll be selling concessions including hot dogs, chips, soda, water, and treats.

The fire department will also be selling b**r.

It doesn't get any better than this.

It's gonna be a great time!!

Jaci from Homegrown Glidden joined us at the Lauri Jean Zach Center for some fun rock painting! All the rocks are adorned with a sticker from Homegrown Glidden that says to take a picture and share it to the Homegrown Glidden FB page. You can then keep it or hide it for someone else to find.
Keep your eyes peeled for these rocks as you might find one in an unsuspecting place.
Such a fun project and a great way to get our community noticed! Thank you Jaci!!
