Half of the building full of things that go bump in the night and half of the building rented out as affordable individual studios spaces for creatives, barbers, performers, artisans etc. AND the option to serenade our spooky friends in the karaoke/open mic night area = my little 🖤 was bursting! (Too bad I didn’t quite have my voice back yet! 🎤🎶) We had some pretty incredible conversational Estes Method sessions throughout the night. Surprisingly, there is not a lot of information out there about the Old Mercy Hospital but I feel like we may have uncovered some history on our own. During one of my sessions on 1st floor, I felt something walk by me while I was doing the Estes Method (eyes shut/blindfold, spirit box scanning the stations on full blast, putting myself in a meditative state, and just relaying whatever I hear come across not knowing the questions being asked) and as the session went on, I felt colder and colder and colder until I tapped myself out. I was 🥶! We didn’t get much activity on the other devices but that’s why us paranormal investigators have ALL the gadgets! You never know what the spirits will prefer that night and we’re just thankful for any and ALL interactions! Until next time! Boooo! 👻🖤~Brooke

I thought I had better post this one before everyone wakes up. When Kristin learned there were possibly bats on the 3rd floor of Old Mercy, she put on a stocking cap and tied her hoodie on top of that. 80 frigging degrees on the 3rd floor, and she's dressed like Nanook of the North. That's my girl 😉🦇

Are there any teams that have experienced the Old Mercy Hospital in Oskaloosa, Iowa? There is very little info on the place, even with the research we've been doing. Our team is scheduled for an overnight on the 27th of this month. Anyone want to share stories, experiences, disappointments?
