Today at Glenwood City Historical
💙❤️🇺🇸 Museum , We had the opportunity to meet the Son of WWll
veteran Pvt.Boardus Giddens, from Simpsonville ,South Carolina .
Who came to Glenwood today in honor of 2nd Lt.Ellen Ainsworth,
Ainsworth a native of Glenwood City, The only Woman from Wisconsin killed in WWll was the nurse that took care of Giddens in the hospital tent when Germans were bombing in Anzio , Italy, February 7th 1944 when he was wounded so terribly, at one point he was actually placed in a body bag & thought he was dead , but in the morning they found he was still alive .Ainsworth had a chance to leave & get out of harms way but she choose to stay & take care of Giddens, she literally saved his life !
So as we listened to this highly emotional story of One of our USA soldiers & the USA Nurse who gave her life will forever stay in our hearts for what our brave soldiers have done & continue to do for their country 🇺🇸❤️💙GOD BLESS THE USA 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏😇🕊🇺🇸
