Glenville Legion Riders win Award

Members of the Glenville American Legion Riders Chapter #264 on July 10th received a National American Legion award for their achievements in the preparation and accomplishment of the 2026 Nation of Patriots Flag Tour, according to a press release.
The award they received was for the American Legion Media & Communications annual contest. They received first place in the Public Relations category for Legion Posts up to 249 members.
Individual recipients from left to right include Scott Kallberg, Road Captain; Bruce Camerer, Director; and Larry Larson Assistant Director. They received the Award at the Minnesota American Legion Convention Center in Willmar.
The press release stated that the Glenville Legion Riders were the first Legion ever to host the Nation of Patriots Flag Tour event. This is also the first time the tour has ever started in Minnesota.

We have been asked to es**rt a former veteran to his final resting place. Robert Anderson passed away on March 11th 2020.
He will be laid to rest on Thursday September 10th at the Preston Veterans Memorial cemetery.
Please meet at Bayview Freeborn Funeral Home at 8:30 A.M.
KSU will be at 9:00 A.M.
