Art in the Public Eye APE works hard to create opportunities for everyone to engage in the community. Our programs are educational, artistic and entertaining.

It's often FREE or incredibly low-cost to participate in APE programs. We have events year round.

Friday April 22nd at 7PM
- ALL Participants Meet at the Wood Theater to be randomly divided into teams.
- A secret theme and line will be announced
- Teams will get together for about an hour to brainstorm and get to know each other.
- Then, actors and directors go home to sleep (unless you're too excited) and writers get to work writing a brand new 10 minute play based on the theme announced earlier that night.
-Please be prepared with your proof of vaccination when you arrive. We will also have tests and masks on hand for people that want them.

Saturday April 23rd at 5AM
- All scripts are due.

Saturday April 24th at 7AM
- Teams arrive (writer is not obligated to arrive at this time, can check in with team via phone/text/video chat or come by the theater later in the day to check in on edits/questions.
- Directors and Actors will be provided with a script and begin rehearsing.
- Directors will also be given a secret prop to be incorporated into the play!

During the afternoon, groups will have a chance to do a tech rehearsal and a dry run on stage. Meals, snacks and beverages will be provided throughout the day.

Showtime is at 8PM with a brief awards ceremony immediately to follow!
