Next Tuesday May 31st will be our first day open for this summer. Lots of new exhibit’s so come and check us out. Our biggest exhibit is on the history of Glenrock Coal Company and the Dave Johnston Power Plant. We had a lot of help from retirees and thanks to them.

Working on an exhibit on Glenrock Coal Company and Dave Johnston Power Plant. We are getting a lot of help from retirees and it has been a great project. Opening in June, come see the history of these very important industries benefiting the people of Converse County.

The materials for the cabin have been ordered and will be delivered next Wednesday. We hope to have a day of good weather to get volunteers together to frame in the bottom. Planning on a Saturday with chili and cinnamon rolls to feed the workers.

We had a very good year with over 300 visitors many from out of state. The dance and pie auction was a hit with money going to the Miller cabin restoration. Now we are working on an exhibit on the Glenrock Coal Company. If anyone has items from the mine and would like to exhibit them please come by.

Final dates are set for the opening June 1 st with the celebration the following Saturday June 5th. Rick Davis and his chuck wagon will be here cooking the hotdogs and many more activities. We will be raffling off an Afghan Lester Grant made on long winters on the mountain. Put June 5th on your calendars and come help us celebrate.

We are back!!! After a year of Covid-19 shutdown we are planning opening June 1 st. We are working on schedule if events throughout the summer. July 10 we will have a barn dance with Byron & Nancy playing the music. More information coming.

Our newest donation from the Bixby ranch thanks to the VR Ranch. Also a big thanks to Rick Davis and Glen Lam for delivering it to us. You are very appreciated. The wagon is a freight hauler. Working on new exhibits for next summer.

We are starting our summer exhibits and have many new ideas. Right now a music exhibit is about finished and would like to do one on the history of the Dave Johnston Power Plant and we are looking for pictures and other items associated with it. Looking forward to the opening the last of May
